Summer is just around the corner, and we are excited to announce that Acres for Joy needs your help this summer for Volunteer days!

Every Tuesday from June 10th to August 26th, Acres for Joy will be hosting an open facility for families and youth members to give back and spend some time in nature and interacting with animals! 😊
Each Volunteer Day runs from 9am - 12pm.
Snacks and Waters will be provided.

Sushi was named by the kids! The kids had an idea to do a goat drawing for names when the babies were born and the names that were chosen are listed below!🤩❤️

Ginny, one of our special chickens decided to go on her first walk the other day!!😍

She rode on our ranch manager’s shoulder while she completed chores!🥰

The kids will be able to take Ginny on their own walks!
Donations of a chicken stroller will be accepted. 😉🤩😉

Animal Highlight of the Month!🤩

Meet Felix, one of our star goats!🤩
Felix has been at Pleasant Valley Youth Ranch for many years and loves everyone that steps foot into his pasture! He is there to greet you and ask for attention. The kids have nicknamed Felix, “Grandpa Felix”❤️

Felix is one of the goofiest goats we have in our herd and every interaction with Felix is filled with love!🥰

We are starting an animal of the month highlight where you get a chance to get to know each one of our cast of characters!

Meet Chief! 🐴
Chief has been at Pleasant Valley Youth Ranch for a year now and has made friends, horses and humans! Chief is a roughly 23 year old Quarter Horse Paint. Chief has a history of participating in YMCA camps with youth and many trail rides! Chief came to us with a trauma response to being alone after losing his best pasture friend the year before coming to PVYR. He has learned love, connection and calmness since finding his friends and safe places. Chief will eventually be used in our Equine Therapy Program and as that program continues to develop, Chief will too!

Chief is a favorite of many at Pleasant Valley Youth Ranch and Acres For Joy!
