Our county programs, mentoring, one on one animal experiences, ranch learning opportunities, tours, and special events are designed to unlock the full potential in every person who sets foot on our property. Acres for Joy is a 501c3 nonprofit organization that is stewarded by Pleasant Valley Youth Ranch, PVYR, and also shares a home within the same grounds. Pleasant Valley Youth Ranch currently of
fers county services through one-on-one mentoring, ISDE Groups and Equine Therapy. Each youth participant that is referred to the ranch are there to work on individualized goals with the help of an enriching environment of nature and animals and our support along the way. Our ranch provides a welcoming and inclusive environment where the activity of the moment displaces the pressures of the day. We are called home by 7 horses, 2 mini horses, 1 mini donkey, 10 goats, 2 sheep, a dozen quails and chickens, and a very happy cat and dog. Our focus on individualized encounters and small group learning opportunities means that each visit to the ranch is special and unique.
