The other day when we were in the studio shooting, I was letting the chickens wander around inbetween shots. Opal found one of the space heaters and immediately laid down and sprawled out in front of it. She's so silly, and really just the best chicken.

Hello! Welcome to my new little venture, slinging house plants, eggs, and all things related!
I’m Melissa, the face behind Little Shop of Flora & Fauna. I’m a 30 something wife, and step-mama. I’m a dreamer, full of big ideas, always biting off more than I can chew. I love lash extensions, cute airbnbs, shrimp tempura rolls, toddlers, white chocolate breves, Jesus, watching strangers in airports, and the sound of coyotes yipping at night. If I could put an old Victorian style house in the woods, on the ocean, I would be the happiest girl in the world. I can watch Friends or Gilmore Girls over and over again and never get tired of them.
I got my first house plant, and my first chicken in 2020. I’m not sure if you’ve heard of chicken math, but it kind of works the same with house plants. It goes something like 1 chicken + 3 chickens = 35 chickens. Somewhere along the way I looked into how I could legally sell plants and eggs and chickens, and of course had to turn these loves of mine into a little side hustle.
So if you’re looking for eggs (Eating or hatching), or plants, or maybe even chickens, I might be your girl!
