I have sold Lake Pet Hospital to my veterinary associate, Dr Lauren Prenger. Dr. Lauren has worked here for the past 5 years. I had many corporations interested in buying my practice, but I grew Lake Pet Hospital in a culture of affordable pricing for all pets, giving back to the community that has been so supportive of me, and being present and accommodating to my clients. I hope for a seamless transition and I am confident Dr. Lauren will provide that.

I want to thank all of my clients for their trust in me for the past 40 years. Your business and friendships have meant a lot to me. I want to thank the hundreds of employees I have had. I could not have been the success that I am without all of your hard work. And I thank my family for the sacrifice they had sharing me with a growing business.

I have no interest in retiring. I will still be working 3-4 days per week. My role is just shifting from business owner to full time veterinarian. I look forward to spending more time with the pets and their people.

We will be closing at noon today so that we can honor the life of our very awesome and very beloved receptionist Jeanie Busch. Her visitation is today at Phillips Funeral Home in Eldon 1:00-3:00, with the Celebration of her Life starting at 3:00. Such a sad day for everyone who knew and loved Jeanie. 💔

We made it through our first day without our beloved Jeanie. There were so many hugs and. tears. Thank you to all of our clients and former coworkers for their calls, visits, cards and gifts. Obviously she was loved by so many. I am so proud of my techs and especially my awesome receptionists for showing up in Jeanie’s honor and hanging in there through their own grief. We miss her so much. 💔

It is with shock and profound sadness that we share the news of the sudden passing of our beloved receptionist Jeanie Busch. She was so loved by all of her LPH family. Jeanie’s passing leaves a giant hole in the heart and life of everyone that knew her. Our heartfelt condolences to her family at this most difficult time. We love you Jeanie and will always be a part of us.
