‼️ Stella the Frenchie needs a Foster ‼️

Foster Needed Urgently – Can Arrive Sunday, May 31

We have been offered a deaf, 3 year old pudgy (she needs some exercise) Frenchie from Tennessee who can arrive this Sunday. Her name is Stella.

She's bossy and would thrive with a submissive dog or alone.

She's good with adults, unknown on kids. She doesn't like just 1 person...her owner's father who moved in with Parkinsons and limited mobility. Because he is hunched and shaky, she gets nervous and snaps. It's the only person she dislikes and the owner has people in and out all the time without issue.

She's up to date on vaccines and gets a yearly proheart shot to prevent HW.

This is currently the information that we have but can get more if needed if interested!

Without a foster, Stella cannot come to rescue.

Fosters Needed Urgently – Can Arrive Sunday, May 31

It is very hot at the shelter in Tennessee, and these pups deserve so much more than spending their days waiting in overcrowded conditions. They are scheduled to arrive at Safe Haven Dog Rescue on Sunday, May 31, but transport can only happen if we have confirmed, committed foster homes in place.

Without fosters, they cannot come. These puppies deserve cool homes, soft beds, toys to play with, and people to love them while they wait for forever families. Right now, they are missing out on the simple joys every puppy should have — belly rubs, naps on the couch, learning new things, and feeling safe.

Meet the puppies who need fosters:

Duncan
Mixed breed, male, approximately 4 months old, approximately 20 lbs.
Duncan is currently in a foster home where he is working hard on housebreaking, crate training, and basic commands. He plays wonderfully with the resident dogs in his foster home and is described as cuddly, sweet, and very socialized. Duncan loves being near people, happily follows his humans around, and is always ready for playtime or a snuggle session afterward. Like most puppies his age, he is curious about everything and has that fun, goofy puppy personality that keeps everyone smiling. He is up to date on age-appropriate vetting.

Pochantos
Fluffy mixed breed, female, approximately 8 weeks old, approximately 8.5 lbs.
Pochantos is loving, friendly, playful, and absolutely adorable. This tiny fluffball was apparently dumped at a rural trash collection site and arrived filthy and covered with fleas. Now she is cleaned up, flea-free, and thriving with regular meals, toys, and care. She loves attention, enjoys being held, and bounces around with happy puppy energy. Her sweet personality shines through in everything she does, from playful zoomies to curling up for naps after a busy day of exploring. You will not find one any sweeter. She is up to date on age-appropriate vetting.

Little Dan #26076
Hound mix, male, approximately 5 months old, approximately 23 lbs.
Little Dan is extremely social and full of nonstop puppy fun. He walks well on a leash, loves meeting new people, and approaches life with excitement and enthusiasm. He enjoys playtime, adventure, and being part of whatever is going on around him. Like many hound puppies, he is smart, active, and always ready to investigate the world with his nose leading the way. Because he can climb wire fences, he will need either a 6-foot wooden fence or leash walks only. He is up to date on vaccines, wormer, flea and tick prevention, and other age-appropriate care.

Say hello to Truffle — the sweetest little snack-sized puppy around!

This adorable 9-week-old American Staffordshire Terrier mix is serving up the perfect combination of playful puppy fun and calm cuddle buddy energy. With his stunning blue eyes, soft white-and-gray coat, and squishy little face, Truffle has mastered the art of stealing hearts wherever he goes.

At around 9 pounds, Truffle is one of the most easygoing puppies you’ll ever meet. He’ll zoom around and play hard for a bit, then happily curl up in his bed for a nap like a tiny old soul. He sleeps through the night in his crate like a champ and is already doing incredibly well with potty training. As long as his humans keep him on a regular schedule, he trots right outside and handles business immediately.

Truffle loves playing with his puppy brother and his much larger foster dog siblings, and he absolutely adores kids. He’s become a favorite with his foster family’s 10-year-old and friends thanks to his endless tail wags, sweet kisses, and goofy puppy charm. He may sneak in an occasional playful nibble, but mostly he just wants to love everyone he meets.

He’s also doing great around cats — curious but respectful, and perfectly happy to let them go about their business without chasing after them.

If you’re searching for a gentle, lovable puppy with movie-star eyes and an amazing personality to match, Truffle may just be your perfect new best friend.

Our standard adoption fee is $465. We offer a $15 discount for adopters who pay by cash or check, making the adoption fee $450.

The adoption fee includes spay/neuter when age appropriate at one of our participating veterinarians, age-appropriate core vaccinations, f***l test, deworming, current on flea and tick preventative, and microchip.

To ensure the best match for both our dogs and adopters, we require a fully completed adoption application, a phone interview, and a meet-and-greet with the entire household. Applications will not be reviewed unless fully completed.

Submitting an application does not guarantee adoption and does not obligate you to adopt; it simply allows us to begin the review process.

Meet BonBon — the squishy little sweetheart you didn’t know you needed!

At just 9 weeks old, this adorable male American Staffordshire Terrier mix is already mastering the art of being the goodest boy. BonBon is equal parts playful goofball, cuddle expert, and professional kiss-giver. He’s the kind of puppy who can wrestle with the big dogs one minute and melt into your lap for snuggles the next.

BonBon is already sleeping through the night in his crate like a champ and heads outside to potty as soon as he wakes up. He’s still a baby, so regular potty breaks help keep him on track — especially because he’s usually too busy having fun to remember he has important business to do!

This chunky little guy loves everyone he meets. He adores kids, enjoys playing with his puppy brother and large foster dog sibling, and is curious but respectful around cats. Just be warned: he’s still convinced toes are chew toys, so slippers may be your new best friend for a while.

If you’re looking for a happy, affectionate, all-around lovable puppy to grow up with your family, BonBon is ready to steal your heart (and probably your spot on the couch too).

Meet Toffee — the little brindle beauty with the blue eyes that stop everyone in their tracks.

At just 9 weeks old, this adorable mixed breed puppy is already an expert in stealing hearts. Between her gorgeous brindle coat, bright blue eyes, and sweet personality, Toffee is basically impossible to resist.

Toffee loves:
• Human cuddles
• Wrestling and playing with her brother
• Exploring everything around her
• Zooming around until it’s time for one of her many puppy naps

She’s playful, curious, and full of happy puppy energy, but she also has a soft snuggly side that makes everyone fall in love. At night, she sleeps quietly in a pen with her brother and is starting to learn potty training and leash walking.

Like any young puppy, Toffee is looking for a forever family ready to guide her with patience, love, and plenty of treats along the way.

One thing is guaranteed: this sweet girl will absolutely melt your heart.

Warning: meeting Nugget may result in immediate puppy obsession.

Nugget is a 9-week-old mixed breed puppy with the kind of face that makes people instantly fall in love. One look at those adorable eyes and sweet little expression, and it’s game over.

This little guy is full of kisses, cuddles, and nonstop puppy charm. He loves everyone he meets and is happiest when he’s soaking up attention or snuggled close to his people. Nugget may be tiny, but his personality is huge.

He’s already doing great for such a young pup — sleeping through the night with his sister in their pen and beginning potty training like a champ.

Nugget is ready to find a forever family that will help him grow into the amazing dog he’s meant to be. If you come meet him in person, don’t say we didn’t warn you… you probably won’t be leaving without him.

Meet Lettie

Mama duty? Officially complete.
Now Lettie is ready for the fun part: being somebody’s spoiled best friend.

Lettie arrived in Illinois from Texas back in November after her owner entered hospice care. Her foster family thought they were just welcoming one dog… until Lettie surprised everyone by announcing she was expecting puppies too. Since then, she has been an amazing mama, raising a beautiful litter of babies who are quickly finding their forever homes.

And now? It’s finally Lettie’s turn to shine.

This gorgeous Lab/Husky mix is estimated to be between 1–3 years old and weighs about 40 pounds. She’s the total package: completely housebroken, smart, playful, affectionate, and full of personality.

Lettie loves:
• Playing with her dog friends
• Hanging out with kids
• Coexisting peacefully with cats
• Toys, bones, and backyard adventures
• Being near her people
• Sleeping all night on her cozy blanket like the perfect house guest

She’s happy entertaining herself when needed but is always ready to join in on family fun. She enjoys having free roam of the house and has excellent manners. She can be crated if necessary… although she may file a formal complaint about it.

Lettie has spent months taking care of everyone else. Now she’s looking for a forever family that will love, spoil, and cherish her the way she deserves.

If you’re looking for a loyal companion with a playful spirit and a heart of gold, Lettie may be your girl.

(Also yes… you are absolutely allowed to rename her. “Mama” was a temporary situation.)

Meet Blackie

This guy truly has it all—happy, lovable, and ready to keep the squirrels out of your yard.

Blackie is a 10-month-old mixed breed with a sleek, shiny black coat and the perfect size—he’s not a big dog, but not a little one either. He really is the best of both worlds.

He’s neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccines, and fully potty trained—so he’s more than ready to settle right into his forever home.

Blackie is as friendly as they come. He does great with other dogs, cats, and people. While there aren’t children in his current foster home, he’s open to meeting everyone and winning them over with his easygoing personality.

This boy has great energy and loves to run and play, especially with the dog in his foster home. He enjoys walks on a leash, zooming around a fenced yard, and then winding down for some well-earned relaxation. At night, he’s a perfect gentleman—sleeping soundly all the way through. And when it’s time to relax, Blackie is more than happy to curl up next to you on the couch and watch TV.

He’d thrive with another playful dog or as your one-and-only companion. He also enjoys car rides and is always up for an adventure by your side.

Blackie’s story started off a little rough—he was found in Tennessee living in a rundown trailer without proper care. But you’d never know it today. He’s full of joy, love, and ready for a fresh start with a family who will give him the life he deserves.

If you’re looking for a loyal, fun-loving companion who’s the perfect mix of playful and cuddly, Blackie is your guy.
