🐶Meet Fletcher!🐶

Fletcher is a sweet and cuddly 2-year-old mixed breed guy (born 4/4/2023) weighing 64 pounds. He’s the perfect shadow companion, happily following you around or curling up for a cozy nap. Fully potty trained, Fletcher hasn’t had a single accident at his foster home and is also crate-trained—though he appreciates a little treat incentive to go in.

Fletcher’s heart is as big as his paws! He’s amazing with people of all ages and sizes and is gentle and curious around other animals. While he hasn’t had many encounters with dogs or cats, slow introductions have brought out his good-boy behavior. He’s even lived with small critters in cages and leaves them completely undisturbed.

When it’s playtime, Fletcher loves his toys (but fetch isn’t really his thing—“My name is Fletcher, not FETCHer!”). He adores running zoomies in his fenced yard but stays calm and collected inside. He’s a chewer, but with enough enrichment and toys, he sticks to his playthings.

Fletcher has a scar on his back left leg that occasionally causes a slight limp, but a vet has confirmed there’s nothing to worry about. This resilient pup is also incredibly tolerant—his ears, paws, tail, teeth, and belly are all fair game for gentle handling. Remarkably, Fletcher has yet to bark at all in his foster home! He’s a little skittish with loud noises but seeks comfort from his people or retreats to his bed when startled.

Ready to welcome Fletcher’s loving, playful, and gentle energy into your home? He’s eager to find his forever family! ?

🐶 Meet Maggie! 🐶

Mixed breed | About 10 months old | 28 lbs

Looking for a true sweetheart to complete your family? Look no further than Maggie Moo! This lovely girl is as gentle as they come and eager to please—she thrives on love and affection.

Maggie is housebroken (with frequent bathroom breaks), crate-trained, and sleeps soundly through the night. She’s made amazing progress in her foster home and is really coming out of her shell! One of her biggest joys in life is being around other dogs—being part of a pack has truly helped her build confidence.

While she’s a bit shy around cats (okay… she’s a little afraid!), with proper introductions, we’re confident she can get along with just about anyone. Maggie warms up beautifully and shows her sweet, friendly nature. She really just wants to be loved—and to love you back tenfold.

She will need to continue working on her training, but with consistency and encouragement, she’s sure to keep blossoming into the wonderful companion she’s meant to be.

If you’re looking for a gentle soul who’s ready to grow in a loving home, Maggie Moo could be your perfect match. Come meet her—you’ll fall in love!

🐶 Meet Ryder 🐶

Ryder is a sweet 3 year old catahoula mix who found himself on the euthanasia list when his family didn’t want to secure him in the yard, he would run to the elementary school everyday to kiss the kids.

Ryder was pulled into a temp foster and made his way to Illinois. Ryder, a playful and affectionate dog, is a joy to have around. He loves all dogs big and small, cats, and kids even as young as 2, making him a great family pet. Initially, he may be a bit shy around some men, but he quickly warms up and becomes very affectionate.

Ryder is potty trained and knows the basic commands “sit” and takes treats gently. He only chews on toys and bones, ensuring his safety and the safety of your belongings. His intelligence is evident as he listens attentively and loves treats. With consistent training, he has the potential to learn even more tricks and commands.

Ryder is also a great car companion and is working on crate training. While he may pull on the leash occasionally, he is a fast learner and is eager to please. Despite his playful energy, he also knows how to relax and take a nap on the couch.

One of Ryder’s most endearing qualities is his beautiful eyes and adorable pink nose. He’s sure to win you over with his charm and affection.

🐶Meet Porsia 🐶

Meet Porsia, an about 1.5-year-old dog with a unique blend of energy, trainability, looks, and intelligence. And those eyes! Her puppies DNA testing showed she is Shepard, Husky, Cattle dog. So yes, she is very smart and active but in our book she is 100% perfect mutt for someone who is active and prefers to be on the go at least 50% of the time. She’s lived life in the fast lane under imperfect circumstances and now that her pups are in forever homes, it’s her turn!

She walks well on a leash, is fully potty trained and crate trained. She plays fetch nice and enjoys a good dart around the yard. Once she has had some activity, she is the biggest cuddle bug and all she wants is to be in your personal space, next to you or in your lap if you will allow her. She is also great in the car so being your co pilot is an enjoyable experience. She would love a running partner and would greatly benefit from a fenced yard to run it off but its not mandatory as long as she gets the proper amount activity she requires.

She could do very well in a home with another dog although to ensure seamless interactions, introductions to other dogs should be gradual, as once trust and boundries are set, she demonstrates pure loyalty. She and one of the resident dogs in her foster home, same age and has just as much “giddy up” as she has, are best of pals. They will play til the cows come home, tumbling and rough housing to see who will outlast the other🐾

Porsia has been in a home and around kids. She loves them so much although due to some of her traits, she would do best with older children who may understand her a bit better. Teens and up are ideal.

She is currently working on developing and fine tuning excellent manners and is making wonderful and big progress! Porsia will like to jump up on you softly (she won’t bulldoze you over). Becasue she has got a bit of hearding breed in her she from time to time may nugde, mouth a bit, and push your hands to get what she wants… all things we are working to limit/chmage but it’s a piece of who she is and she wants all the love and attention.

This girl came from the streets of texas and had she had to scrap for what she had. She prefers to eat away from other dogs although enjoys being in your company for the perfect dining experience. Can’t blame her, right? Her food bowl is her own, although she gets lots of treats while being out and around her 3 resident dogs in her current foster home as long as someone has their one eye on her. She does share toys well!

Miss Porsia will need a home with some good dog experience under their belt but I promise you, she will not disappoint! She has gotten great groundwork to set her up for success. She is a fast learner. She has the ultimate potential to be your bestest friend and will look to you for guidance. She aims to please! She will be the most loyal companion there is available!

🐶 Meet Anthony! 🐶

Hello, I’m Tony (Anthony)!

I am a playful and smart 1.5 year old, male, Mountain Cur mix with a handsome brindle coat. I am just over 40 pounds, making me the perfect medium sized pup.

I had a rough start down in Texas, but got a second chance at life thanks to Safe Haven and my foster family!

When I arrived to my foster home, I knew no basic commands. I now know “sit”, “shake”, “down”, “leave it”, “speak”, and “eyes”, which reminds me to make eye contact and check in with my person 😊

I am completely housebroken and crate trained. Most nights I snuggle with my foster family in bed, but I also find comfort in my crate and will sleep soundly in there throughout the night.

I do really well with both cats and dogs, as I have grown to love and respect my foster family’s 2 cats and 2 dogs.

I also do well on a leash and love to take walks. I enjoy lick mats, snuffle mats, and enrichment puzzles to keep my mind busy too.

I am making great strides working with my foster family on becoming socialized. A little patience and understanding allows me to build trust and get comfortable with new people.

If you are ready for a loyal and playful companion, I just may be your perfect match!

🐶 Meet Chestnut 🐶

Hi! I am Chestnut! I am a male terrier mix pup who is about 10 months old. I made a long trip to my foster family’s home from Texas.

My foster family would describe me as a curious, energetic, smart and lovable puppy. I enjoy couch cuddles, zoomies in the backyard, playing fetch and tug of war.

My foster family thinks I will do well with a family with other furry pets because I like to play with other dogs, but I wouldn’t mind being your one and only pup.

I love meeting new people and new dogs and I am very friendly. I have done well with small children but don’t live with any.

I am very smart and I learn quickly. I know commands, like “Sit”, “No”. “Wait” and “Down.”

I do get excited very easily and love to jump on you but its my playful nature and I will settle if you give me attention.

I am fully potty trained with frequent potty breaks outside. I am also crate trained and sleep peacefully all night in my crate. I will also take naps in my crate if there is a soft blanket in it.

My foster family loves me lots but they will be overjoyed to see me with a family that can provide me a loving home along with the time and attention I need.

🐶 Meet Birch – A Bouncy, Brindle Best Boy in the Making! 🐶

Birch is a 6-month-old male bully mix (possibly with some American Staffordshire Terrier in the mix) who’s already stealing hearts with his caramel brindle coat, expressive eyes, and joyful spirit. Born on January 5th, 2025, Birch currently weighs about 40 pounds and is the perfect combination of playful energy and sweet snuggles.

This pup is fantastic with humans of all ages and sizes. He loves meeting new people, adores kids, and is always up for a good cuddle or play session. Birch gets along wonderfully with other dogs and would thrive in a home with a playful pup buddy. He lives by the motto "play hard, nap hard"—you’ll find him romping around one minute and snoozing like a champ the next.

Birch is crate trained and doing great with potty training, especially if his humans keep an eye out for his cues. He truly tries to be the best boy every single day. He’s also learning his leash manners and enjoys getting outside to explore the world.

Like many puppies, Birch is:

Loyal and affectionate – he forms strong bonds and loves being close to his people.

Smart and eager to learn – he picks things up quickly and enjoys working for praise or treats.

Confident and playful – always ready for fun, whether it’s with toys, humans, or other pups.

Birch is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and ready to find a forever home that can match his energy, continue his training, and shower him with love.

Think Birch might be your new best friend? Come meet him and fall in love!

**Swipe right for this "paw-fect" partner!**

🐶 Name: Fred 🐶
Age: 5-6 months
Sign: Sagittarius

Location: Crashing on my foster family’s couch in IL (Born in TX)
Height: 6 ft (technically not there yet, but I’ve got big dreams )
Employment: Between jobs, but working on personal development and treat acquisition
Relationship goals: Long-term commitment, life partner, cuddle buddy for life

About Me:
Brown-eyed homebody with a loyal heart and a soft spot for snacks. Emotionally available and crate-trained. I sleep through the night like a champ, always do my business outside, and I’m learning commands faster than your last situationship learned to text back.
I love playing with other dogs—chase, tug, goofy zoomies in the yard, you name it. I'm the social type (except for cats!) but still a total introvert at heart. After a good romp, I’m all about Netflix, cuddles, and chilling in a sunny spot.

My love languages:
- Physical touch (snuggles + belly rubs)
- Quality time (walks + laying at your feet)
- Acts of service (keeping you safe from vacuums, lawn mowers, and delivery drivers)
Not into travel—road trips stress me out—but I’ll happily follow you to the fridge, the yard, or go on long walks with you. Open to kids, not into drama. Just a chill pup looking for something real.

Swipe right if you:
Appreciate "puppy dog eyes" and nose boops
Have a sunny spot on your patio and a warm spot on your couch
Have a pup of your own (or access to doggy playdates!)
Are ready for a forever companion who’s loyal, low-key, and learning fast

Let’s get together and see if sparks fly!

You might be my paw-fect match!

So, wyd?

🐶 Meet Jade 🐶

Hi I’m Jade! I am approximately 5 months old, female, and about 30 pounds (I am the biggest puppy in my litter).

I came to Illinois from Texas with my siblings. I have been staying at a foster home that has a few other adult dogs and a lot of puppies! I get along with everyone. I have also met kids and do well with them. I unfortunately have not met cats so I’m unsure what I would think!

I have beautiful brindle fur! My foster mom says I’m a big sweetheart. I love to sit by her feet and love when she pets me or holds me. I truly love affection! I also love to play with the other puppies and dogs at my foster home. We love to run around the yard and chase each other! I am very respectful of the other dogs though when we play.

I am potty trained as long as I stay on a consistent schedule. I also have learned to walk on a leash but need more training on it. In general, I am still a puppy and will need someone to continue my training and be patient with me.

I currently sleep quietly in a crate at night with my sister Juno. I might need to adjust to being alone in a crate but I’m sure with time I will do great!

If you’re looking for a sweet girl with beautiful brindle fur, I’d be a good match for you!

🐶Meet Isabella – Your New Best Friend!
Affectionate • Gentle • Family-Oriented🐶

Isabella—affectionately called Bella—is a sweet and soulful 1–2-year-old Black Mouth Cur mix weighing around 50 pounds. She’s already spayed, house trained, and crate trained, making her a wonderful addition to the right forever home.

Bella is a loyal, loving companion who thrives in the company of her favorite humans, especially children. She currently shares her foster home with two girls (ages 8 and 12) and absolutely adores them! Her gentle and affectionate nature shines brightest when she’s with her family.

She also lives with a small 17-pound foster dog brother. While they’re still figuring out how to play together (Bella doesn’t always realize her size), she’s respectful and friendly with him.

Bella can be shy at first—especially with new people and men—but she warms up to women and children quickly. With time, patience, and a calm approach, she’ll learn to trust and love new friends at her own pace.

At home, Bella is a laid-back girl. She’s perfectly content napping on the couch or chewing on her favorite toy while you're away. Whether it’s a long walk, a zoom around a fenced yard, or a snuggle session on the couch, Bella is happy just being near you.

Bella is looking for a patient, loving home that will give her the time and support she needs to feel safe and confident. In return, she’ll give you her whole heart.

Could you be the one to show Bella what forever really means?

Hi I’m Jax! I am almost 5 months old, male, and about 20 pounds. I am one of the smaller puppies in my litter.

I came to Illinois from Texas with my siblings. I have been staying at a foster home that has a few other adult dogs and a lot of puppies! I get along with everyone. I have also met kids and do well with them. I unfortunately have not met cats so I’m unsure what I would think!

I have beautiful brindle fur with white paws! My foster mom says I’m a big sweetheart. I love when she pets me or holds me. I truly love affection! I also love to play with the other puppies and dogs at my foster home. We love to run around the yard and chase each other! I am very respectful of the other dogs though when we play.

My foster mom also said I’m very smart and may even be the smartest in my litter!

I’m still a puppy but I think I have excelled! I don’t have accidents inside the house anymore as long as I am on a consistent schedule. I may occasionally have an accident overnight in my crate but it’s becoming very infrequent. I also like to walk outside on a leash now that I’ve learned how!

I also am fully up to date on my shots including a rabies vaccine so I am ready to go on any adventures you want to take me on! I do great in a car and just sit on the backseat.

I currently sleep quietly in a crate at night with my brother Joel. I might need to adjust to being alone in a crate but I’m sure with time I will do great!

If you’re looking for a sweet, smart puppy, I might be the fit for you!
