Fosters Needed Urgently – Can Arrive Sunday, May 31
It is very hot at the shelter in Tennessee, and these pups deserve so much more than spending their days waiting in overcrowded conditions. They are scheduled to arrive at Safe Haven Dog Rescue on Sunday, May 31, but transport can only happen if we have confirmed, committed foster homes in place.
Without fosters, they cannot come. These puppies deserve cool homes, soft beds, toys to play with, and people to love them while they wait for forever families. Right now, they are missing out on the simple joys every puppy should have — belly rubs, naps on the couch, learning new things, and feeling safe.
Meet the puppies who need fosters:
Duncan
Mixed breed, male, approximately 4 months old, approximately 20 lbs.
Duncan is currently in a foster home where he is working hard on housebreaking, crate training, and basic commands. He plays wonderfully with the resident dogs in his foster home and is described as cuddly, sweet, and very socialized. Duncan loves being near people, happily follows his humans around, and is always ready for playtime or a snuggle session afterward. Like most puppies his age, he is curious about everything and has that fun, goofy puppy personality that keeps everyone smiling. He is up to date on age-appropriate vetting.
Pochantos
Fluffy mixed breed, female, approximately 8 weeks old, approximately 8.5 lbs.
Pochantos is loving, friendly, playful, and absolutely adorable. This tiny fluffball was apparently dumped at a rural trash collection site and arrived filthy and covered with fleas. Now she is cleaned up, flea-free, and thriving with regular meals, toys, and care. She loves attention, enjoys being held, and bounces around with happy puppy energy. Her sweet personality shines through in everything she does, from playful zoomies to curling up for naps after a busy day of exploring. You will not find one any sweeter. She is up to date on age-appropriate vetting.
Little Dan #26076
Hound mix, male, approximately 5 months old, approximately 23 lbs.
Little Dan is extremely social and full of nonstop puppy fun. He walks well on a leash, loves meeting new people, and approaches life with excitement and enthusiasm. He enjoys playtime, adventure, and being part of whatever is going on around him. Like many hound puppies, he is smart, active, and always ready to investigate the world with his nose leading the way. Because he can climb wire fences, he will need either a 6-foot wooden fence or leash walks only. He is up to date on vaccines, wormer, flea and tick prevention, and other age-appropriate care.
