She got some sand in her eye yesterday which is still a little irritating, so we had a good, short ride focusing on softness and trotting. She is sooooo responsive, not reactive, but gets stiff when long trotting. She’s also really putting the shine on thanks to the coconut meal we feed!

Having her active rest day. She’s got just the best manners for ground work and round pen work. Her tying needs some attention 🙄 she’s NEVER sat back with me, just has a fit. She gets tied in multiple locations whether she can see other horses or not, and is learning so quickly!

More ground work. She immediately went right to work and paying attention. So quiet and willing. Worked on some bit softness and flexion, followed by standing tied. She doesn’t seem to like being tied, especially in a stall, but learned quickly that being quiet and respectful is what is expected. Tomorrow I expect to have our first ride together.

Learning each other. It took her a little bit to turn her focus from the other horses to me, but once she did, we got a lot of licks and progress! She’s not spooky at all but is an “active” horse; so I’m going to be working on a management program that has her calm and ready for instruction.

Welcome this cute little APHA 8yo High Brow Cat great granddaughter. Apparently she’s got some fun ranch horse buttons and has been to some shows with her previous owners. She’s had some time off so she’s here to see what she knows and get her going again. We’ve spent some time getting to know each other and she seems to be a quiet, willing mare. Keep an eye out as she may become available!!

For those unfamiliar….Supreme Color is a class that has all the Open World Champions from the previous classes; so mini, pony, overo, saddle type etc. Literally they are the best of the best. So proud of these two!
