Grooming a senior dog looks a little different than grooming a puppy.🐾While young dogs are full of energy and often need help learning to sit still, seniors require more patience, more breaks, and a gentler approach. Their joints can ache, they may not be able to stand for long periods, and some have health concerns that require adjustments. For example, this sweet girl has a collapsed trachea, so instead of placing the grooming loop around her neck, we secured it gently around her chest to keep her safe and comfortable. The goal with a senior groom isn’t perfection, it’s comfort!
