Hello friends, family, clients etc,
We may know each other through church, fitness classes or pet care but this email has nothing to do with business affairs.
I'm sending this out to all as l have a special request regarding getting food for those in my community that can't quite make ends meet.
As many of you may know, I work at the Bass Lake Safeway, the newer one at Serrano Parkway and Bass Lake Blvd. You can usually find me up front as you check out, I’m known as Safeway Sue by my lovely customers : )
I see firsthand the increased cost of groceries and some customers making a choice to put back certain items as they went over their budget. Can you relate?
Currently at work we are collecting bags of groceries to give directly to El Dorado County Food bank. We call them Hunger Bags. One bag is enough to feed a family of 4 people, it is only $10. Safeway then matches that number, we stuff the bags and they go local, to the El Dorado County Food bank, Your donation is completely tax deductable. We do this 2x a year and it is definitely harder to get donations n the summer as opposed to November when people are in that holiday mode.
If you are a current fitness student of mine you may give your donation directly to me in class or I am willing to drive to you or accept venmo, I’m at venmo@ Leash-Lady. I am happy to send you back a receipt of the donation for your tax records as well.
Feel free to email back or text me 916 955 5253 and I will make arrangements to get to you. Make sure to include your phone # with your donation so it can be counted towards your Safeway, Vons, Albertson's acct.
I am hoping to plan a fundraiser Zumba class to support this cause...TBA
You can also come right to Safeway and see me in person! Email or text and I will send you my schedule.
Thanks in advance for your generosity. Would you pass this on? I will drive to anyone in the vicinity
People not having enough to eat really hurts my heart, I hope you will join me in helping feed local neighbors.
Just 10 bucks. Please be my partner in fighting the Hunger Wars right in our own backyards.
Much love,
Sue Reed
