Ruff Pack Refuge is a 501(c)3 non-profit rescue organization located in the heart of the Gold Country in beautiful Northern California. RPR typically rescues seniors and medical dogs with no advocates facing euthanasia in the shelter system. h Ruff Pack Refuge. We strive to never euthanize a pet for treatable health conditions or undesirable behavior. We place Ruff Pack Pups with thoroughly screened families and educate the new owners to better help them make responsible, informed decisions regarding the health and safety of their new senior dog. There are times we are presented with young, healthy adoptable puppies/dogs needing urgent placement due to loss of income, housing or health reasons. In these particular cases, we treat each dog with the same care and concern when considering their new placement with an adoptable family and make sure to educate adopters about the long term commitment they are about to undertake. Anytime we receive a litter of puppies the owner must agree to let us spay, vaccinate and microchip the mother dog.
