UPDATE A foster-to-adopt home has been found for Herbert!

***Foster/Foster-to-adopt needed ASAP!

It turns out Herbert doesn't get along with cats, so the family who was going to adopt him can't keep him. We would prefer to place him in a home that wants to eventually adopt him, but if we can't find that a foster home will work. Herbert is 4 year old AKC registered, purebred basset hound. He is in great shape with no medical issues other than needing to be neutered, which we will be doing. If you are interested in Herbert PLEASE MESSAGE US. Thank you!

Looking for a good home for a 5 year old Basset Hound that we rescued. His name is Luke and he is good with both dogs and people. He loves to play, go for walks, or just sit on the coach snoozing....

I wanted to give everyone an update on Sidney, the "blind" puppy we got in a few weeks ago. At his first vet visit we found out that Sidney has five congenital defects. He has microopthalmia(his eyes are too small for his skull) and congenital cataracts. Between the two he has about 30% vision. He has skeletal issues, front and back legs, undecended testicles, and his bottom jaw is 1" shorter than his top jaw.

Despite all of this he is THRIVING! He is always happy, full of energy, plays, runs around with the other bassets, plays with the cats, and just has no clue he has disabilities.

Sidney needs some work. He will need a complicated neuter because of the undecended testicles. He will also need to have his bottom canines pulled because they hit the roof of his mouth and will eventually cause sores if not removed. After these issues are cared for, Sidney will make someone a WONDERFUL companion.
