🚨🐾 NEW! Community Microchip Scanning Station 🐾🚨

We’ve put up a free microchip reader outside Boomer Vet to help reunite lost pets with their families — day or night!

📍 Located right outside our clinic, you can use it anytime to check if a found dog or cat has a microchip.

How to Scan for a Microchip:
1️⃣ Press the yellow button to turn the scanner on — it will beep and light up.
2️⃣ Hold the button down while slowly moving the scanner over the pet:

• Start between the shoulder blades.
• Move side to side, then scan down each side and the chest.
3️⃣ When the chip is found, the scanner will beep and display the chip number.
4️⃣ If the pet has a temperature-reading microchip, the scanner will also show their temperature — this can help you know if they might be sick and in need of urgent care.
5️⃣ If no chip is detected after a few passes, the display will say “NO CHIP DETECTED.”

💡 It can take up to 2 minutes to find a chip — move slowly and scan multiple times.

Once you have the chip number, visit www.petmicrochiplookup.org to find the pet’s registry and help them get home!
