🐾 Meet Lilly! 🐾

We would like to introduce Lilly, a 16-week-old puppy who has recently started training with us at Hopeful K9. Lilly’s mom brought us in to help guide her through those classic puppy antics and set her up with the structure and skills she needs to grow into a well-mannered dog.

From the very first session, Lilly showed just how smart and eager she is to learn. She did an amazing job on her first day and is already proving to be a quick study. With the right guidance, consistency, and training, she has all the potential to become an exceptional companion.

We’re excited to continue working with Lilly and helping her channel that puppy energy into positive behaviors. Stay tuned to follow her training journey! 🐶

⚠️ PSA for Fellow Dog Trainers and Training Businesses ⚠️

I want to make other trainers aware of something serious that recently happened.

Someone in Ocean County attempted to submit an Allegiant Air U.S. Department of Transportation Service Animal Air Transportation Form listing a legitimate training business as the organization that trained their dog when that business had no involvement in the training.

They also had someone pretend to be a trainer affiliated with that business when the airline called to verify the information.

This is a federal document, and falsely listing a training business or representing yourself as a trainer for a company you are not affiliated with is a very serious issue.

Fellow trainers — keep an eye out. Make sure no one is using your business name, credentials, or reputation on service animal documentation without your knowledge.

Airlines are starting to verify this information more carefully, and situations like this can put legitimate training businesses in a difficult position if someone tries to use your name without permission.

Just a reminder to everyone: be honest about credentials and training.

Meet Juney and Ozzy 🐾

These two are now part of our Hopefully K9 Lesson Program, and we are already seeing such positive progress. Our focus with Juney is building her confidence and helping her feel safe, secure, and more comfortable navigating her world. With Ozzy, we are working on reinforcing manners, impulse control, and respectful interactions.

We are also teaching both dogs healthy boundaries with one another while educating mom on proper play structure, supervision, and how to confidently differentiate between normal dog play and true aggression. This education is key to creating balance, trust, and a peaceful environment for everyone.

Both Juney and Ozzy did excellent, and mom did amazing learning, applying, and advocating for both of them. This is exactly how strong, healthy relationships are built.

I also want to apologize for being a little quiet lately. I’ve been running nonstop with Mama’s-gona Rescue, focusing on saving lives and finding loving homes for our adoptable dogs. The rescue has needed my full attention, but helping dogs and families like this is why we do what we do.

Thank you to everyone who continues to support, trust, and believe in us and our mission.
