This type of incident Phil .. and other drone operators have faced is sad to see. Unfortunately I’ve even had someone threaten me with a gun before over searching for a lost pet…

You do NOT own the flight airspace above your land/house. You cannot prevent a drone or helicopter from flying above your home - although a drone is safer if above homes….

Be a drone Pilot they said. It’ll be fun they said. That’s a shotgun and a confrontation.

Local weather has been preventing our efforts in assisting in the search of another lost dog. We’re still here and hoping for the best! This particular case is in Chesterfield with winds exceeding 20 knots/second which is near warning levels for our drone, especially with the area also including an airport in close proximity.

Too cool

When we say we will do all it takes for our adopters and dogs we mean it.
Scout's new family had no fenced area for him to just lounge and enjoy the outdoors safely, since he loves that so much and his family doesnt have a fence yet...We went out and put one up for them.
Now Scout and his family can sit out and enjoy the scenery without having to have him on a tie out or on a leash.
:)
He is a lucky boy to have such a concerned family who really cares about his needs as much as their own.
If anyone has fence panels from outdoor dog runs that you no longer use and that are in usable condition, please consider donating them for situations like this.

Jasper, a show dog, goes missing in Gray Summit, MO. Through a group of rescuers, he's manages to come back safely while under the monitoring of METRO EAST DRONE's thermal drone.

Apologies to ActNow Resources Spay & Neuter as I somehow the tag wasn’t saved previously. Kay did a great job working with the owners, the AirBNB, the flyers, and local sightings.

Did some photos* for a dog on the run for Found A Hound. I’ve delayed this post as I didn’t want to bring any delays to the rescue of the dog. Wide/zoom and Thermal shots in just one click, so very cool. It’s not as snazzy as I’d like it, but taking these pictures and quickly copying to my phone so I can share them quickly is NICE.

Taken on 2/26/26 mid-day, goal was aerial photos not location of animal on this mission - sometimes it’s a different goal 🙂. It was a beautiful day.

We are starting to piece together Remi’s travel pattern. She appears to be moving through the fields between Milburn School Road and the business district in O’Fallon (Regency Park area).

If you live, work, or travel in that area, please keep a close eye out for her and report ANY sightings immediately.

She is scared and chasing will only push her further away.

Thank you RoadHero US for your donation of the safety cones years ago. They keep me safe on the side of various types of roads or in parking lots where I need to safeguard my drone from vehicles. Wherever I go, I almost always use them and have even given a few away to fellow pilots.
