Primrose Path Farm

Primrose Path Farm Primrose Path Farm was started in 1990. After years of raising Paso Fino horses, Livestock Guardian Dogs, and Finnsheep sheep we have officially retired.

We are retired from raising horses, sheep, and LGDs. We currently have 5 sheep as pets, 2 pot bellied pigs, a handful of chickens, 6 dogs, and 3 cats.

Ive watched this farm grow for the last 4-5 years. What they are building there is amazing. ❤️

Turns out our little farming adventure caught the eye of John Deere’s The Furrow… and they FEATURED us.

Honestly?

We’re honored, a little stunned, and incredibly humbled.

But this farm life—our wins, our flops, our muddy-boot persistence—is exactly what we love sharing, and seeing it recognized in a magazine that’s been telling ag stories for over a century, 130 years actually, feels pretty dang surreal.

So here’s to the long days, the stubborn livestock, the regenerative choices, the small wins that add up, and the fact that even the big names in agriculture are paying attention to the work happening right here at Saratoga Homestead.

Thanks for cheering us on. We seriously couldn’t do it without this wild, supportive community behind us. 💚🚜🌱

Alvin is one of the pups from our Zeke and Valleigh litter. Alvin lives in Georgia and helps his human Mom foster dogs and puppies. Alvin's natural state is 4 paws in the air at almost all times. 😆 This is Alvin. The puppy is his latest foster. I think Alvin has the pup on the right track. By the way, Alvin grew up to he a most handsome boy. 🩵
