9 weeks old today, Oakley, Smoothie and Rebel are now settled into their new homes. People often say to us “it must be hard when a puppy leaves”. Those first moments, when we notice the pen is empty and there’s no morning greeting of excited puppy sounds, definitely tug at our hearts. One daughter still cries at every puppy pickup and has affectionately become known to many as “the crier”. We always say that her tears are a sign that we loved them well. From the moment they enter the world, they are loved and they learn to become part of a family. When they leave us they have nothing but trust and love for humans. Why do it? We love the Havanese breed! Also, there are very few times in life when we get to bring another person or family this much joy. The "gotcha days" remind us of our "why", and our puppy families are the best. Every photo and update is truly cherished. A puppy leaving is similar to a child going off to college. You think of them every second until you get that reassuring call or message that they are settling in and happy. You hope they are doing all the things you’ve taught them. To all of our families, thank you for loving your pups and giving them amazing homes.❤️
