Today we are honored to celebrate a truly incredible milestone — Shawnee’s ✨10-year anniversary✨ with Compassion 4 Paws!

Shawnee first joined our team as a Care Coordinator, never imagining she would one day become our Practice Manager. But through her compassion, strength, and steady leadership, she naturally grew into a role that now feels impossible to picture anyone else filling.

Shawnee has become the heart of our operation. She is the calm in the chaos, the one who supports our team through difficult days, and the anchor we can rely on during some of our hardest moments. Her dedication shows in every interaction, every decision, and every act of kindness she brings to our team.

We are endlessly grateful for the decade of care, commitment, and heart she’s poured into C4P.

The Pet Loss Support Group at the Seattle Animal Shelter offers short-term group support for those coping with grief and related emotions following the loss of a pet. While this group does not provide professional counseling, it provides a supportive space for grieving families that understand what you're feeling.

Compassion 4 Paws is proud to offer Comfort Care! 🐾

What is Comfort Care? Dr. Sara and her team provide personalized comfort care tailored to each pet's specific needs, working closely with the family to create a plan that fits. Since every pet is unique, each care plan is customized, sometimes including medications for pain and nausea as well as nutritional advice. Being in the pet's home allows us to better observe their true comfort or pain levels. Additionally, in-home visits give us the opportunity to suggest improvements to their environment. We will also perform a quality-of-life assessment during the visit, equipping you with the tools to evaluate your pet’s discomfort and help you decide when the time is right to say goodbye. 🌈

This gentle method mirrors nature’s way of returning life to the earth, allowing tissues to break down naturally while preserving the bone.
