Thinking it might be time for a beak and nail trim. It looks to me like he's trying to bite his nails and he's been rubbing his beak on his cage A LOT lately so I'm wondering if it's feeling too long to him.

Signed at 10 am for the new place and just got done moving everyone over and getting them tucked in for the night. Tony has clearly had a long day.

Update: Just received a call from Dyna's doctor. The front desk must have told her I called and asked. It was very kind of them to call back with the results.

Good news: X Ray predominantly clean, no heavy metal, etc. Likely a bit of arthritis which we are going to treat the pain with gabapentin.

Bad news: elevated uric acid levels and significant kidney disease. Aside from supportive care, nothing we can do to reverse or correct that only try and keep it from getting worse.

All in all not terribly surprising but as long as she's happy now and we can stop any worsening that's really the best we can ask for.

We are supposed to go back in a few months for a follow up and to re-run blood tests and see where we are.

Well we won't know anything AGAIN because they decided to call me at 6 pm when I was doing the walkthrough of the house we're buying and I missed it. I have literally been waiting for this call ALL DAY. I called right back but of course she was gone for the day.
