For Flocks Sake For Flocks Sake is a 501(c)(3) bird rescue and sanctuary located in Edmond, OK.

We take in, heal, and either rehome or keep birds with us in sanctuary for the remainder of their lives.

Elliott phoned home!!! (I know it was E.T. not Elliott, but you get it)

We are so happy to announce that Elliott has found his new home! He was adopted Sunday by Amanda Hux and her family who met and fell in love with his wacky ways! He talked them up like the regular chatterbox he is and won their hearts. I look forward to hearing all the new phrases he learns! Congratulations on your new family member!!

BEAK PEEK!

It's been a busy time here at For Flocks Sake.

We wanted to share the two new friends who joined us this past week!

Buddy is a 27 year old Harlequin Macaw who is learning new words every day. He came to us saying "Mama", "Mother", "Hi/Hello", "Step Up", and a couple other things. He already likes to mock my "come here" just like Amenadiel. He's VERY friendly and LOVES LOVES LOVES head scritches. We'll have some great videos of him up in no time.

Sweet Pea is a 20 year old Umbrella Cockatoo who truly lives up to her name. Her favorite things to say in a very sweet voice are "I love you" and "Hi friend!". You may have already watched her intrusive but SO sweet video climbing into my face telling me she loves me.
