Looking for a fun way to introduce your dog to the water this summer?

We still have just a few openings in our July Intro to Swim Classes at Big Wave K9:

• Monday, July 6 at 7:00 PM
• Wednesday, July 15 at 10:45 AM
• Saturday, July 18 at 12:00 PM
• Saturday, July 18 at 1:15 PM

These classes are perfect for dogs that are new to swimming or need help building confidence in the water.

Ready to take the next step toward dock diving?

We also have two Intro to Dock Diving Group Classes available for dogs that are already jumping off the ramp but are not yet confidently jumping from the big dock:

• Saturday, July 18 at 10:00 AM
• Sunday, July 19 at 5:00 PM

We had a great Open Dock on Sunday. Here is just afew pictures of some of the dogs. It was the first time off the big dock for many of them!

Super excited for our Regional Qualifier this week starting Thursday! Here are some key things to remember

-Admin and Boards will open at 8:00am each day.

-Specialties will be at noon each day and distance jumps will resume after

-We have plenty of day of entries for all disciplines each day so come see us!

-Try-its will be offered each day

-Cards must be on the board by 2:30pm.

-We will have random prize drawing all weekend, you get one entry ticket per splash entry!

-Emily Patricia Photography will be taking photos so be sure to follow her page.

-Please Park responsibly and make room for your neighbors, this event will be busy.

-Please make sure you do not park in the spots in front of the Pleasant Pooch building. That is s separate business and their clients need to be able to park there.

Poppy and Rudy spent some time working on social skills Thursday in our day training program, and they were a great reminder of why herding breeds are so much fun to train.

Dogs bred to think, problem solve, and work closely with their people often come with big personalities, lots of opinions, and plenty of energy. That intelligence can make them incredibly rewarding companions, but it can also create challenges when it comes to impulse control, excitement around other dogs, and learning how to relax in busy environments.

Our goals focused on calmness, engagement, and making good choices. Both dogs worked hard on settling, staying connected, and building confidence in a structured environment.

Poppy and Rudy did a fantastic job , and we can’t wait to see their progress continue.
