International Dog Day feels a little different when your whole life was built around one. 🤎

Kannon was never just my dog.

She became the reason behind a name, a logo, a building, a career, and eventually an entire business dedicated to taking care of other people’s best friends.

What started with one really good dog somehow turned into thousands of dogs walking through our doors - each one loved just as fiercely by someone on the other side of them.

WE KNOW THEY’RE NOT “just dogs.”

They’re the reason you hurry home.
The passenger in your front seat.
The face in thousands of pictures on your phone.
The one who knows when you need them.
The constant through different homes, jobs, relationships and versions of yourself.

Some of them even change the entire direction of your life.

Mine did. 🤎

Hi Kannon’s Kabins Family!

We’ve decided to extend our FREE sick pet exam offer! 🐾

We know how stressful it can be when your pet isn’t feeling like themselves and sometimes the worry about the cost of a visit can make it tempting to wait. We want to make it a little easier to get your pet checked out when something doesn’t seem right.

For a limited time, the exam fee is completely FREE for sick or injured pets. You’ll only be responsible for any diagnostics, medications, or treatments you choose to move forward with.

Whether your pet is experiencing vomiting or diarrhea, an ear or skin issue, limping, coughing, changes in appetite or behavior, or you simply feel like something isn’t right, we’re happy to take a look.

* Additional diagnostics and treatments are optional and discussed with you first

It was me who knocked on that door but I truly believe it was God who put you in my life.

I think He knew I needed an anchor. I needed someone who would always be there no matter what life threw at me.

It’s funny because I take no credit for how amazing you are. I didn’t ever have to “train” you. You just already knew… everything. “She just gets me”. That’s what I’ve always told people.

You’ve made me so happy. And not just “regular” happy - the indescribable, healing, I can’t live without you, once in a lifetime, kind of happy.

You watched so many people come and go throughout my life but you’ve always stayed by my side. Sure, maybe you shouldn’t have went to those college parties with me, but hey, we had fun right?

You’ve never been just a dog to me. Everyone who knows me, knows you. You’ve never asked for more and somehow you’ve always made me feel like the most important person in the world. When I look back and think about the things I am grateful for, you’re at the top of the list. You’ve made me a better human.

I know some people just don’t get it. They see a pet. But I see my soulmate, and in a lot of ways, you’re the best part of me. On my worst days, you somehow bring out a little more fight and positivity in me.

That kind of love isn’t ordinary. It’s a kind of love that changes you. The kind of love that becomes a part of you - one that will never ever be forgotten or able to replace.

I love you so much my little soul dog. And no matter what comes next, I’ll keep fighting with you like you’ve always done for me. 💗

Lipomas are fatty tumors that normally do not cause medical issues but in this case, this one had to go! This large tumor was on the belly of the patient and would scratch on the floor causing the skin on the bottom to be irritated. Bye bye tumor and bye bye irritation! Hello happy & healthier pup!
