New introduction!:
This sweet girl is Rya! I got her last spring, she comes from the south eastern part of Pennsylvania, my sister was able to pick her up and keep her for me for a few months while I was in the rehoming, screening process for Chloe. When she picked up Rya from the people who had her she had already given birth to puppies and she was only coming up on a year old. I always try to have my females close to or at 2 years old before letting them whelp puppies for a number of reasons. Some being psychological and physical, I also believe that having dogs and breeding them should be done ethically. Rya came to us with some symptoms of what I'd consider abuse, but she is a golden retriever so her genetics outplayed any kind of emotional impact she may have had from hdr previous owners. However over 9 months of owning her and I will say that she just now is finally showing no more symptoms of odd behaviors and is finally a well adjusted happy golden girl :) she will enjoy over a year off from puppies and just be a dog. (As you can tell in one picture she found a mud puddle to roll in) 🤣 we are hoping to have a litter of puppies from her in 2026!
