Say hello 👋 to KINSEY!! 🐶🐾 Kinsey‘s mom came to me needing help because this sweet pup had lived in a barn by herself in Pennsylvania for the first 3 years of her life. She was super scared of everything and everybody! When I met Kinsey last week she wouldn’t come near me and was extremely anxious. After my initial session working with her Mom to build her confidence and providing her with the insight she needed to better understand Kinsey’s behaviors and how to help change them, the transformation has begun! Today was an AMAZING revisit! Not only did Kinsey listen and do what her mom asked, she came to me and I was able to give her all the love she deserves! 💗

Say hello to SUNNIE!! 👋 This 13 year old senior pup’s owner Bonnie reached out to me after adopting/rescuing Sunnie from the Senior Dog Sanctuary. Sunnie needed help feeling comfortable in her new home. Today was my second visit with Sunnie and she is feeling better and loving her surroundings and especially her new Mom. I am so excited for Sunnie to live the rest of her years in a loving home! ❤️🐾🐶 Senior Dog Sanctuary of Maryland

Well after our first training and her Grandma learning to “speak dog” she’s already making great strides. SPOTLIGHT OF THE WEEK…Say hello to OBIE! 👋 This adorable Cavapoo puppy is just 4 months old and a ball of energy. His paw-rents needed help with “all things puppy”! From toilet training to excessive barking to demanding all their attention. 🐶

After just our first in-home training session Obie now has a much needed “schedule”, is learning to mind his manners while on his leash and has realized he doesn’t need to bark all day long. More importantly his parents are learning better ways of communicating with him by “speaking dog”! Looking forward to seeing his (and his paw-rents) progress at our next training session. 🎉🐾

Happy National Terrier Day!🎉🐕 …Did you know there are 27 recognized terrier breeds, which is why the 27th of March is chosen for National Terrier Day.🐶❤️🎉

✅Some most common terriers are the Australian, Jack Russell, Boston, Border and Yorkshire Terriers.
✅The name “terrier” comes from the Old French “Chien terrier”, meaning “earth dog” and refers to the early dogs’ inclination to hunt underground.

Meet HARBOR! 🐶🐕 This 8 month old chocolate lab is the best girl ever! Her paw-rents needed help with excessive barking and jumping on not only them but their family and friends. She’s learning great manners with our in-home training. She had previous obedience training at a local facility but it didn’t “stick” because once she was in her natural surroundings she wasn’t sure what she was supposed to be doing. Her parents are now achieving the communication and leadership that Harbor needs! Next up…leash manners. 🦮🐾

TIP TUESDAY….Dogs love to explore 🐶🐾, especially when they’re outside or in a new environment. That’s why most dog owners like to have a garden in which they can let their beloved pup run free.

While a yard 🪴 is an ideal place to let your dog explore, you need to make sure that it’s safe. Unfortunately, it’s not always possible for you to closely supervise your dog when it’s out doing its business or having fun, so you need to make sure that there aren’t any dangers that your dog could encounter. After all, many dog owners allow their dogs to go out in the yard/garden to relieve themselves late at night or early in the morning. The last thing you need is to deal with a serious issue when you’re half asleep!

✅ Choose the right fencing
✅ Choose pet-friendly plants that are non-toxic🌱
✅ Deter predators where possible 🐿️🐁
✅ Opt for pet-safe mulch, as some types can be toxic if consumed
✅ Make sure dogs have space to run around🐕
