We're celebrating back to school season by welcoming high school students, grades 9-12, into our clinic starting this September!
PetMedic Pathways is a FREE veterinary STEM program for local high school students designed to give students more than just a glimpse into veterinary medicine, they’ll start building experiences they can actually talk about on college, scholarship, internship, and future job applications.
Throughout the school year, students can:
- Explore careers and college pathways before committing to a major
- Learn directly from in-clinic professionals and mentors
- Participate in veterinary STEM demonstrations and simulations
- Ask real questions about college, careers, salaries, and education
- Earn a certificate of participation for each session attended
- Build experiences they can reference in applications, essays, interviews, and resumes
And because this is a monthly program, students have the opportunity to come back throughout the year and explore something completely different each time, from radiology and laboratory medicine to toxicology, surgery, CPR, anesthesia, and more.
For students already dreaming about veterinary school, this is an opportunity to start learning about the field early.
For students who aren’t sure yet, it’s a chance to explore a potential career before spending years and money figuring it out.
And for parents? It’s completely FREE. Registration for sessions are required.
