🩷Chance's Recovery🩷
Chance came into our care during the first of June 2026. He came extremely sore with both front hooves delaminating and separating half down his hoof. He could barely walk. Laid down more than he stood. He had severe white line and thrush to add. This boy was in so much pain he drooled when you made him walk. We kept him in a stall for the first 2 weeks of him being here with shavings 1 foot deep so he was comfortable.
Everyone thought he would have extreme rotation because of the fever rings. But he has hardly any.
Fast forward to just yesterday when he got glue ons shoes out on both front feet to help avoid abcesses. Because he is so thin and soft soled it's been hard to keep abcesses away. The next showing cycle we should be able to do regular shoes.
He moves out 100 percent sound. And to think 6 months ago this boy was on the verge of being shipped. When all it took was real correct care, and love.
