Cavalettis for the WIN!!

Back in December I had my dog on an off leash walk. She was not moving well. I set up my cavalettis at a height and distance to improve her limb swing extension.

I made a commitment to work them 3 times a week.

My observations:
1. My dog had JOY while doing them and looked forward to each session.
2. I continued to PROGRESS the challenge but I only changed 1 variable each week: distance apart, length of a session, or approach distance.
3. CONSISTENCY is key! After 8 weeks my dog could reach 3" farther with each step and doubled the duration she could work.

Yesterday I had her off leash again and she was trotting beautifully. She was balanced, symmetric, and rhythmic.

This fitness stuff really works!
