Two more November Pa archery whitetails finished this week. The 7 point, mounted on a semi sneak form, was a giant deer. He weighed over 200 lbs, had a 21 inch neck and was aged at 8.5 years old. Taken by a youth hunter sitting with his dad.
The pack mount has gotten popular over the past few years. There’s a lot of variations on how it can be done but this one shows the whole cape (including the tail) rolled up and tied on the pack frame.

Sent this beast of a buck home today. An 11 year old, sitting with his dad during a November PA archery hunt, and this bruiser buck followed a doe into the clover plot. His dad was able to get it on video too.
The buck was all scarred up from the rut. Ears were torn up his forehead and face had several puncture marks from fighting but that just adds to his character. I hope it’s not the biggest buck of this young hunter’s life but I bet he’ll hunt a long time before he beats this one.
