Summer is coming (I hope). Rex's Canine Training LLC summer classes:

AKC Fetch class: 4 week class starting Tuesday, June 9 at 5:30pm. This class is to prepare dogs to take the AKC Fetch tests. Cost: $110. Fully fenced area.

Dock Diving classes: Private lessons in June. $140. for three lessons on beautiful Lake Wissota. Dogs must have a reliable recall. Come out and make a splash!

On Rex's Canine training 20th anniversary, I want to recognize the "demo" dogs: Chewie (Roxy Statz) demoed flyball, Shadow (Lynne Shaffer) flyball and CGC/Therapy Prep, Smokey (Lynne) cheerleader, Ruby (Liz Schmoldt Liu), CGC/Therapy Prep, Lulu (Liz), CGC. And most of all my own dogs, Ziva, flyball, CGC (all levels)/Therapy Prep, tricks, freestyle, and trieball. Wyatt, CGC (all levels)/Therapy Prep, tricks, dock diving and fetch. No better dogs to show the way!

During our 20th Anniversary month I would like to thank my volunteer assistants. The late Roxie Statz and her dog, Chewie helped me get it all started when I began teaching flyball class and formed the Chippewa Valley Wuff Pack. Then Lynne Shaffer, Shadow and Smokey (cheerleader) joined the Wuff Pack. We started adding classes, including, the CGC series and Therapy Dog prep, and tricks. And threw in Fetch and Dock Diving. As well as a couple of trieball and freestyle seminars. When my grand niece, Liz, was 12, she started training with us with her Cavalier, Ruby. She soaked the information up like a sponge. She was a great assistant until she went off to college. Liz graduates from college next month! Liz's sisters also helped with Ginger and Charlie when Liz went to college. Thanks to all of these wonderful assistants who are dedicated to not only their own dogs, but to helping others with training their dogs. I couldn't do it without you guys!

Rex's Canine Training is celebrating our 20th anniversary! Hard to believe we have been training dogs in Western Wisconsin for twenty years. We will be posting some of our favorite memories. Stay tuned for our summer class schedule coming soon!
