Oh Honey, you're all better now!

Honey came to the VVH presenting for vomiting and diarrhea - we performed x-rays and couldn't believe our eyes! Honey had a 1/4 pound bladder stone in her tiny body that was causing her pain and discomfort. We are so thankful to her pet parents for being proactive and bringing her in for care. Without a diagnosis, Honey would have continued to decline 💔

Our medical team performed surgery and removed the stone and kept Honey to recover - she recieved cold laser therapy to promote healing too 😊 Honey’s bladderstone has been sent out for testing so that we can determine the best kind of diet moving forward to prevent future bladder stones - but for now, we expect her to make a full recovery!

You might be cool - but are you as cool as Cherise? 😎

Cherise is a 10/10 good girl who came to our VVH to get state-of-the-art laser treatment therapy on her skin infection 💘 Laser therapy can treat wounds by promoting healing, reducing inflammation and pain, and increasing blood flow to the affected area 🫶🏻

But the best part about it are the goggles that keep those peepers protected throughout the appointment 😊 By Cherise’s second appointment, her booboo was looking significantly better!

Happy Veterinary Technicians Week to all of our wonderful vet techs here at the MCSPCA and Vogel Veterinary Hospital 🥳

Our vet techs see every single animal that passes though our shelter, 6,000+ just last year! They are responsible for all of our animals being healthy, happy, and safe ❤️

Each of our techs has something you can’t learn in school, and that’s compassion and kindness - it’s what sets our organization apart 😌
