Safety tip of the day. Don’t let your dog chew on hard objects like antlers, bones, nyla bones etc.
This is a premolar with a chip fracture from being aggressive with the chewing. It can get worse and lead to painful complete fractures and extractions.

Just want to let everyone know that THERE IS NO DR. SHERRY WEAVER AT OUR ANIMAL HOSPITAL. SHE PRACTICES ON LAKE ALLATOONA, WHICH IS OVER 100 MILES FROM HERE.
Some moron in Athens that we have never seen left a horrible review with this picture last night on our Google site. He didn’t even take the time to look up the right veterinarian, which is actually embedded in the picture that he uploaded.
We are trying to get it removed from Google, but you know how that goes…

State Route 44: Quick response project scheduled to begin Monday

Putnam County, Ga. – The Georgia Department of Transportation (Georgia DOT) has scheduled a quick response project to improve efficiency and safety on State Route 44 near Lake Oconee.

Right-hand passing lanes will be installed on SR 44 southbound at Clack Circle and SR 44 northbound near Lake Oconee Family Fitness. Because this section of SR 44 is a two-lane road without turn lanes, congestion occurs when drivers attempt to make left turns at these locations. Consequently, Georgia DOT has observed drivers using the shoulder to pass on the right.

A contractor will install additional pavement and striping at these locations to allow drivers to safely pass on the right. Georgia DOT has given R&B Developer, Inc. notice to proceed, with a completion date in November 2025. The contractor plans to start work on Monday, August 25, and expects work to take up to three weeks, weather permitting.

Drivers are advised to expect delays, exercise caution, reduce their speed, stay alert, and watch for workers while navigating the work zone. Before heading out, get real-time information on work status and traffic conditions. Call 511, visit 511ga.org, or download the Georgia 511 app.
