I'm sure y'all have heard/read about the high winds coming our way. 🌬💨

Today is a good day to go check fences, gates, and remind family/friends to latch gates and doors when coming and going, or just keep them in for the day tomorrow.

Next to the 4th of July, windy days are top contributors to you're pets getting loose.
Having identification on your pets can ensure a timely return to your loving arms.

Another week, another round of barometric pressure mood swings and stupid blowy wind.

Today the mountain wave cranks back up in the higher foothills, along the Divide, and across Wyoming and Nebrasky. Westerly gusts easily in the 45–65 mph range, or as the locals call it, a mouse fart.

Surprisingly powerful farts though, the kind that make semi trucks go sleepies.
Ratatouille level blowy farts.

Widespread 50s and 60s today and again Wednesday, and of course we’ve got elevated fire danger because it’s La Niña, humidity is trash, and why the hell not?

Ahead of the cold front on Wednesday, winds go from bad to worse and become more widespread, so don’t get emotionally attached to your trash cans.

People on the western slope will just be chillin like cool whatever I guess I'll go outside and ride my horse or something.

Barometric pressure sensitive besties, continue precautions. Hydrate, rest, vibe carefully.

Mountain snow kicks in with the front starting at pass level this afternoon, mainly along and north of I-70, with the main round arriving Wednesday and lingering into early Thursday morning. Travel in the mountains is gonna be… spicy. Plan accordingly.

Wind lingers into Thursday, with cooler temps tagging along for moral support.

Then because the atmosphere refuses to learn lessons, another mountain wave builds Friday, ahead of yet another front on Saturday.

It’s the full roller coaster, temps, pressure, and nonstop blowy nonsense.

More of the same heading into next week probably lol. If I see a real change, I’ll let you know.
