🐎🌹We had a wonderful visit with Smith College students working on research projects through the Smith College Sport for Social Change Lab. One student is exploring how people perceive horse sports, an area that’s closely aligned with our mission at Legacy Equine Center and Sanctuary. We loved sharing our program with these enthusiastic students and giving them some hands-on time with our horses. Kudos to Smith College for supporting student-led research that connects sport, community, and meaningful change. This is Sanctuary Life! 🐴🩷

🐴🌺We had a special visitor at the Sanctuary today! Aliza Pluta, Secretary of the Holyoke Elks, presented us with a $3,500 donation to help us continue our mission of providing a lifelong refuge for horses facing adoption challenges due to age, injury, medical conditions, or behavioral needs. Rooted in the belief that the bond between humans and horses is profoundly beneficial, we’re also proud to be a PATH member center, offering transformative support to individuals facing physical, mental, and emotional challenges. Through compassionate care and meaningful interactions, we strive to create a place where both horses and people find comfort, resilience, and renewed hope. Thank you, Holyoke Elks!
