One of Western Maine's top Dressage, Lesson, Training, and Youth Summer Camp facilities. Owned and operated by Sara Bradley.

Sara Bradley is one of a small handful of people in Maine who currently trains and competes at the FEI (International) level. She has produced multiple horses who compete at the FEI level either under her guidance, or who have been sold and are successful with their new owners. A serious rider since the mid 80's Sara's main focus for the past 23 years has been dressage training and competition. Sh

e has an impressive show record on a Regional and National level, and has had great success on many different horses. Notable awards:

-2021, two 1st place Prix St George wins, NEDA Fall Festival, Fabelhafte
-2021 Dubai’s Dream, 3rd level debut, NEDA fall Festival, 67%
-2021 GMHA June Dressage Day, high score 3rd Level, Fabelhafte
-2019 NEDA year end, Dubai, 4th place 1st level, 73.1%
-2019, Student Casey Cossar received 4th level silver medal scores
-2018 NEDA Reserve Champion at Training level with Dubai's Dream with a 75%
2018- Student Casey Cossar received USDF Bronze Medal with Baffin
-2017 Qualified for PSG Regional Finals with Champion Of Hearts
-2016 PSG Debut for Champion Of Hearts at NEDA Fall Festival.
-2014- 8th place USDF 3rd level Championships, Champion Of Hearts, qualified for National Finals
-2013 Baffin Qualified for Regionals at Intermediare 2
-2012 USDF Region 8 Intermediare 1 Freestyle Champion, Baffin
-2011- USDF Region 8 Reserve Champion, Intermediare 1 and Freestyle- Baffin
-2008 USDF Region 8 Training Level Champion- Draco
-2006/2007 USDF National Welsh Cob Champion, Clearview Sunrise Bakara

Prior to 2006, numerous Regional and local wins throughout the levels on a variety of horses. Sara's students are also avid competitors and are regularly seen in the young rider and AA classes. Sara enjoys teaching riders of all ages and abilities as well as training horses from training to the FEI levels. In addition to working with "traditionally" bred dressage mounts, Sara specializes in the training of sport ponies. WEC offers private or small group lessons year round, in our all weather facility. Due to the popularity of our program, we often have a wait list for new students.

It’s been a busy summer of competition, but our lesson program has also been thriving!
We currently have riders in our classes, ages 4-79 who enjoy private sessions on our reliable and dependable lesson horse friends.
We have very limited availability on our horses for the fall session, but have a variety of times open if you can bring your own mount!!

It was hard to grab an action shot of Aria and Sam at August HITS, but what a great show for her before she heads off to college!!
It was a super educational experience as she continues to learn the ropes of 3rd level. Very proud of how she worked on managing some show nerves and then had one of her best tests of the season on Sunday- winning the whole division of 3rd 1 with a 65%!! Well deserved!

Congratulations to Jess Priola and Sam for their great work at HITS last week!
So much confidence gained at 3rd level this year, and such fun in the freestyle with music by Three Wishes Freestyles 👑
Big mixed level freestyle classes as usual but they were 2nd both days in the 3rd level division and then 6th in a competitive 3rd 3!
Super work, and we will see you at Regionals!!

August HITS was HOT (hotter than normal August hits and also stormier! Exciting times!)
Kevin had his first big outing and was so well mannered- in between the CGI style lightning, the horses wearing pants for the costume class (he might be judging us after witnessing this!) and the 6 minute warmups due to the 90 degree humidity he got a lot of experience!
And, he was fun and sweet and willing.
A huge highlight was really clicking into his needs after day one and wrapping up the show with 3 weekend wins, on a 72% and a pair of 76% 🥇 Not too shabby! Really excited to see how well I can ride him with a bit more practice- but we get more in sync every day!!

Some great teamwork yesterday and everyone pitched in to make the day go smoothly!!
Melanie was a hero, spending the day with us to help entertain the horses while waiting. All of us appreciated this so much! (And also the coffee and muffins!!)
Jess ran back to the barn after riding to care for everything there as we scooted out so early- thank you Jess for caring for the at home friends!
Linda and Lee babysat the critters while we were all gone to make sure Kevin wasn’t climbing rock walls again 😜 always have to have an eye on the youngsters!!
Such a big thank you to everyone for pitching in and making the busy day run so seamlessly!

It was a hot one in Hollis today and the WEC team was on fire! congrats to the whole group who did a super super job at the Summer Breeze recognized show!

🥇 Aria won her 3rd 1 on a personal best 67% and wrapped up the scores for her USDF Bronze medal!!! YAY ARIA!!!!!

🥇 Jess won 3rd 3 with a personal best 69%

🥇🥇 Lydia and Tom were double blue ribbon winners with a 74% in 1st 3 and a 71% in 2nd 1.

Such a great job done by all! It was another warm show day for us (🥵) and Lydia go to experience the Attack of the killer lunch tent (IYKYK) and came away unscathed 😂 Thanks to State of Maine Dressage Association for another wonderful summer show 👑

Wrapping up our Life’s a Ride recap with congrats to Aria!! She made then big move to 3rd level and also got her second to last score for her USDF bronze medal!! 🥉 Lots going on for Aria as she prepares to head to UNH in just a few weeks so this was a fun weekend for her and the best horse ever Sam to spend some quality time together 🧡 Great job you two!!!

Congratulations to Sara and Kevin (Vilano 16) at his first US show at Life’s a Ride!
A great learning experience as Sara had only had about 8 rides on him at this point 😂 He was a very good sweet boy, and a joy to ride with good scores and placings!
🏆 3 scores of 71% at 1st 1 and 3
👑 and a score of 68 due to several very nice and very unnecessary flying changes

All qualified for regionals where we plan to have a fabulous experience building time this year 🧡

Great job to Jess Priola and Sammartini at the Life’s a Ride show last week!

They qualified for Regionals at 3rd level in the middle of a massive downpour where the temp dropped dramatically by 20 degrees in less than 5 minutes. 🥶
Thankfully, Sam is a certified good boy and was very agreeable about the deluge!!!

🥇 A nice win in the rain in the 3rd 3 on Thursday with a 64%

🥇 Another blue in much better Friday weather with a 65.8%

Great job to this team! Jess has dedicated lots of extra time to training over the past year and her finesse, problem solving and strength are so so much improved due to this hard work. Never easy when you also have a full time job and full time kids!! So impressed by the harmony this pair is now showing 👏🏆

A very good show for Lydia Andrews and Fantomas at the Life’s a Ride Recognized show last week!

🏆🥇 A major highlight was this pair putting in the best 1st 3 I have ever seen (from anyone, ever) and getting rewarded with a 78.1 on Thursday!!

🥇Later that day, with wind and weather rolling in they put in a 2nd 3 with a couple added moments of excitement for a still respectable 64.4 🌪️

🥇 Another blue in the 1st 3 on Friday with a 72.9 even with a canter hiccup!

🥇 And then all the hard work came together for a truly flawless 2nd 3 with a fabulous 76.5- a truly harmonious, powerful and mistake free ride 👑
