Teaching this smart, cutie b***y what an implied leave it is! It’s really nice to be able to KNOW that your dog wont try and inhale food when it hits the floor! Especially if you have kids or are clumsy like me!

As much as possible, I try to keep politics and my personal leanings off my professional page. I think for the most part, I do a pretty good job. However, it recently came to my attention that maybe I do too good of a job.

Everyone’s chasing obedience like it’s the answer. Sit. Down. Heel.
Obedience isn’t what you should be focusing on.
Relationship is priority.
It’s what makes your dog choose you over chaos. It’s the trust that keeps them grounded when the world is overwhelming. It’s what makes them engage even when you’ve got nothing in your hand. Without it, you’re just background noise to your own dog.
Your dog should be buzzing to spend time with you & only you. Not just because you have treats, or a toy.
Relationship is the glue that makes everything stick. It’s the difference between a dog that works for you because they HAVE to & a dog that works for you because they WANT to.
What matters is the bond you have with your dog & the experiences you give them. Relationship & exposure shape stability, confidence, trust.
Obedience only shines when it’s built on relationship & exposure.

All dogs should be muzzle trained, no matter what. You never know when you may need to use one!

If someone walks up and touches your dog without Permission and the dog bites them, that is the persons fault, however in the eyes of the law your dog bit someone and your dog will get the blame. Remember that next time you take your fear reactive dog, who will bite if it’s personal space is invaded, without a muzzle.
Muzzles are there for your dogs safety.
*muzzles are to be used in conjunction with training and not a substitute for training.
