Dogs don’t sweat the same way humans do! While they primarily cool themselves by panting, they also have
sweat glands in their paw pads.
These paws help with temperature regulation and also provide traction while your dog is running and playing.
That’s why it’s so important to protect your pup’s paws from hot pavement during the warmer months. 🐾
A quick test: if the pavement is too hot for the back of your hand for 7 seconds, it’s too hot for your dog’s paws!
