Training for the horse and rider Lynnewood Stables is owned and operated by Michael Zukerman.

Michael grew up on Long Island competing in the Junior Hunter, Junior Jumper and Equitation divisions. After college, he turned professional and opened up his business, Lynnewood Stables, which is named after his favorite equitation horse, Lynnewood Hall. As a professional, Mike has enjoyed many successes as both a rider and a trainer in all three rings. He has had top placings from the Grand Pri

x ring to the High Performance Working Hunters, right on down to the Baby Green Hunter division and the Young Jumpers. His students have enjoyed victories from the Short Stirrup ring all the way up through the Grand Prixs. Michael approaches teaching and training with a patient and compassionate philosophy. He concentrates on building a solid foundation by instilling confidence in both horse and rider. He works with each rider to develop a plan and set goals for the future. Mike has earned the respect of his students and peers alike with his calm and workmanlike demeanor. He is a true horseman, always putting the needs of the horse before any other. Catching up on some week 9 news:

Caitlin Celardo and her new mount, All Star, made their debut in the Low Adult Hunters and went home with top ribbons, including two 2nds, and just missing out on the reserve championship. Congratulations to Caitlin on the purchase of Gem!

Toni Lombardo and Chamano 5 finished up their season in Wellington with clear rounds in the 1.10 Schooling Jumper division.

Emily Gordon and Cantinero were very consistent, earning 2nd in the 1.10 36+ Amateur Jumper division, and finishing 4th in the 1.15 Classic.

It’s hard to believe circuit is already winding down!

WEF 7 was a busy one!

Whitney Hollinger and O’dieu vd Heide were winners of the Ariat Adult Medal

Lily Callahan and Ozera jumped to top ribbons in the 18-35 3’3 AO Hunters

Farrah Griesmeyer and Bise Du Rouet made their .90 debut with all clear rounds

Mila Griesmeyer and Stonewall Top Call returned to the Large Children’s Pony ring with consistent rounds and great ribbons

Valentina Sardou reunited with Woodland’s Take a Peek once again and won great ribbons in all their 2’ USHJA Hunter classes

Emily Gordon and Stakkato Gold Rush finished 6th in the 10k NAL/WIHS 1.15 Amateur Jumper Classic

The ladies had their time to shine in the 2’6” Hunters, with ribbons for Dawn Ambroselli and Grandville, and Astrid de Place and His Pleasure du Bourget

We headed over to the field on Friday where our always dependable, special events star, Cantina, showed his brilliance on the derby field earning a 4th place finish in the 10k USHJA National Jr/Am Hunter Derby. Mark Badgley’s Silent Partner made his derby debut with great scores of 80.25 and 87.15

Kannan is a seasoned veteran and the perfect horse for a kid stepping off a pony, or an adult who wants a lovely 3 foot horse. He is kind and forgiving and looks adorable going around the ring. Beautiful mover and jumper.

Cantinero is a complete 1.10/1.15 machine. Super consistent results with multiple riders over the last year, including a championship at Silo Ridge. He is our go-to whenever we need a teacher or confidence booster. Quiet at home but steps into the show ring with the perfect amount of blood. He is the ultimate good boy!

Odie has many miles, with a resume in all three rings. He has jumped up to 1.40, won tricolors in the junior hunters, and has shown great aptitude in the equitation ring, with experience at New England Finals where he was a class winner, and USEF Talent Search Finals where he finished in the top third. Tuna is the prettiest boy at the show, and turns heads everywhere he goes with his blond mane and tail. He is a veteran in the hunter ring with many tricolors and miles from 3’ to 3’6”, and a derby specialist. He is a quiet, push ride with a rhythmic canter and big stride, and has the biggest personality in the barn!

Maserati is an adorable young horse with a promising future. He is a beautiful mover and jumper, with a quiet and kind nature. It was a fantastic week for the babies!!

Mark Badgley’s Silent Partner was champion of the Young Hunter 6 & under division, and Gold Coast Equestrian’s Maserati WM earned the reserve championship, winning two over fences classes the second day. We are very proud of these special boys!

We had a great start to 2026 during WEF Premier Week!

Emily Gordon and Stakkato Gold Rush started off strong with a speedy second place finish in the 36+ 1.10 Amateur Jumpers and a 9th place finish in their Classic

Marlee Joyce teamed up with Cantinero, earning the 5th place ribbon in the 1.0 Junior Jumper Classic. She also rode Astrid de Place’s His Pleasure Dubourget to great ribbons in the Children’s Hunter division

Whitney Hollinger and O’dieu VD Heide were winners of the Palm Beach Adult Medal, and finished 4th in the Ariat Adult Medal.

Valentina Sardou reunited with Woddland’s Take a Peek for the week, and won top ribbons in the 2’ USHJA division

Lily Barnard and Cantina were rewarded with top ribbons for a strong performance in the B section of the 18-35 Adult Hunters

What a show!

Maxine Orens-Williams and Cantinero were class winners in the 1.10 division, 2nd, and 2nd in the Classic to clinch the division championship!!

Emily Gordon piloted Marlon Brando to 5th in the 1.10 classic, and finished with a great round but an unlucky rail with Stakkato Gold Rush!

Danae Oliveri and Wineham had a beautiful clear round in the 1.20 classic!

Already looking forward to next year!!

JUMPERS
- Emily Gordon earned multiple top placings on her two mounts, Stakkato Gold Rush and Marlon Brando, including a 4th place finish in the 1.15 Amateur Jumper Classic week V
- Danae Oliveri and Wineham finished 3rd in the 1.15 Amateur Jumper Classic week V and moved up to the 1.20 division week VI
- Maxine Orens-Williams and Cantinero were second in the 1.15 Jr. Classic week VI
- Katy Hinkley and her two horses Lonette and Quanthargos PS had multiple top placings in the 1.10 Amateur division and also moved up to the 1.20 Jr/Am division
