It was a tough growing season this spring for whatever reason. Upgraded the heat. Insulated air openings. I’m going to blame some of it on the wildly swinging temperatures. But, no matter, we have stock ready to go. This is only April 26th. Time to Get Growin’ for Season 2025!! We have several varieties of tomatoes, peppers and eggplant!!

It’s that time of the year!! And, we haven’t been slacking…… We have reduced the amount of stock since it seems that people like the tried and true as opposed to the woolie and wild. Start working on your gardening plans and remember that we are your nightshade haven!! Gardening 2025 is fast on our heels so time to get cracking. As always, sales start March 31st….a Monday….. so book an appointment early so you’ll have the best selection!! Thanks for supporting small businesses!! $1.00 per plant sold in 4-packs.

First haul…… Got a great garden going this year. A little rain please…… I’ll be in green beans out the w***o by the middle of next week too. I see some deep fried Brenda Gantt squash chunks……😋

This Saturday will be our pasture sale!! The weather is looking great and we’ll also have some strawberries available in 1 gallon and 4” pots. Prices yet to be determined. Here’s your sign……. The wild blackberries have bloomed!! I have followed this old wives tale for three years now and it hasn’t failed yet. Planting time is good after the wild blackberries have bloomed although we do have two days coming up with nighttime temps in the upper 30’s. Yay!! We’re getting close!!

Good morning and thanks for hanging with us!! Today we’re releasing our list of the different varieties we’re growing this year so you can plan your garden accordingly. We have 3 varieties of eggplant, 11 varieties of hot peppers, 5 varieties of sweet bell peppers and 32 varieties of tomatoes. We also have tomatillos, various herbs and assorted flowers.

Eggplant—Black Beauty, White Knight and Midnight Moon.

Hot Peppers—Aji Charapita, Big Jim, Ancho, Anaheim, Cayenne, Habanero, Hungarian Hot Wax, Jalapeño (regular and giant), Serrano and Tabasco.

Sweet Peppers—Keystone Resistant Giant Bell Pepper, Hossinator Bell Pepper, California Wonder, Carnival Blend and Cubanelle.

Here is the first and only plant that has started. It is an eggplant and will certainly have more company here in a day or two. It’s so exciting seeing green popping up through the dirt!! 🌱

Growing season 2024 is in full swing!! So far we have the sweet peppers, hot peppers and eggplants in flats as of February 1st. They take a tad longer but tomatoes will be going in February 14th. We will keep you posted as these 16 flats take off and start their journey. Thanks for staying tuned in!! 🫑🌶️🍆

Growing season will be starting soon and we couldn’t be more excited!! We’ll have the last order of seeds coming in this week. We’ll be featuring 27 varieties of tomatoes, 10 varieties of peppers and 3 varieties of egg plant. We will also have green tomatillo along with a variety of flowers. Get all your gardening friends and family and stay tuned for future updates as we get ready to kick it into high gear!! We’ll be releasing our variety list as we get further into the season!! Had to do a scrub-a-dub-dub on the greenhouse roof. That was two years of mildew, mold and pollen blocking out the sun. A little maintenance goes a long way. Getting ready for winter and the upcoming growing season. Next up…..inventory!! 🌱🍅
