Thank you to all who attended our Strawberry Saturday event this past weekend! We had such a wonderful day celebrating the sweetness of the season with our A.W. We have a VERY special team member to celebrate this week, marking her 10th year with A.W. Brown's...Carla! Carla began as the Director of Administration, and though she is truly a jack of all trades with the ability to assist in any position necessary, she has been serving the A.W. Brown's community as the Finance Manager for the last three years. Carla is an immense asset to our team, whether that means handling the financials, solving your hard-hitting plant questions, hopping on the registers on a busy day, or even greeting you at our events!

Carla, our team is so incredibly fortunate to have you, and we appreciate all that you've done for A.W. Brown's in the last ten years. Thank you for the passion, knowledge, and contagious laughter that you bring to the store each and every day. Here's to many more with A.W. Brown's!💚

Thank you for sharing some great recommendations for our pup parents out there!🐾

Tilly and I just got back from a trip to A.W. Brown's to socialize and restock our treats. I’m often asked for recommendations, so here’s what we keep on hand:

🐾 Fromm Crunchy O’s (2cal each) - our favorite go to treat for all ages, especially the Blueberry and Pumpkin-Kran-Pow! flavors

🐾 Zuke’s Mini’s (2cal each) - a softer treat we use for training and walks

🐾 Finley’s Salmon Treats (2cal each) - a flavor I don’t use often, these treats are reserved for times when we need extra focus and attention

🐾 Natural Balance Venison Jumpin’ Stix (40cal each) - since puppy teeth are too soft for the Purina OraChews that Tucker gets to enjoy, this is the special treat substitute that Tilly gets until she’s a year old

There are lots of great options available, so look for treats that are low in calories that your dog will enjoy ❤️🐶

This week, we're saying farewell to the original owners' daughters, Vera and Annie. As Vera heads into a well-earned retirement, Annie will be moving on to the next chapter in her career.

Vera, daughter of Al Brown, the original owner of A.W. Brown's, has served in many key roles over the years, including the cashier at the Maple Road location and most recently as our dedicated Pet Food Buyer.

Annie, daughter of Tom Wheeler, started her career being carried around in a backpack by her father and has spent the last several years as our General Manager.

Vera and Annie: You have put your hearts and souls into the store, the team, and this wonderful A.W. Brown's community. We truly appreciate how hard you've worked in preparing our team to continue your families' legacies of excellent customer service and a deep passion for the pet and garden business.
