East Lansing Northern Tail Dog Park

The City of has reopened the Northern Tail Dog Park to community members for the 2025 spring, summer and fall seasons as of Tuesday, April 1.

There is no charge for community members to access the park. Northern Tail is open daily from 6 a.m.-10 p.m.

The East Lansing Department of Parks, Recreation and Arts is seeking input from community members about the City’s Park, Recreation, Open Space and Greenways Plan for 2025-2029.

“Whether it’s hiking on the Northern Tier Trail, attending the weekly Farmers Market or spending time in our many parks and green spaces, we are interested in knowing what you enjoy and what you wish to see improve ... in order to make the City’s parks and recreational amenities the absolute best they can be for our community.”

The survey can be completed in about five minutes and will be open through the end of October.
