I’m proud to present D&C’s Stormi, BH!
Congrats to everyone that stepped out pass or fail!
What a journey it has been to get here. Every time I have signed up for a trail the universe has thrown what ever it could to prevent me from achieving my goal of trailing her. Without fail it was no different with this trail too. I told the universe it was time to break the curse and I did just that! It wasn’t about passing or failing it was about making it onto that field. The second I did I felt the weight get lifted.
None of this would have been made possible without the help of a person I met on kinda on accident, Sal . When we started training I told him I had quit and to treat me as if I know nothing. He introduced me to what is now our club, pushing and questioning me to dive deep into myself to bring out a part of myself I thought was gone forever. For that, thank you for bringing me back to my roots. Thank you to Carlos, Kate, Carlos, Kelly, Jake, and Pete for being there to help guide us. It means the world to me!
Now, I can’t throw out a shout out without mentioning my parents, Alanna, and Josh… The saying “it takes a village” couldn’t be more true. I appreciate you all holding down the house for me to do this.
Christina, my greatest gratitude to you too. You provided support, knowledge and fair, understanding, judging across the board to everyone out there. Most importantly though, you trusted me to own Stormi. I hope I can one day trail along side of you.
Thank you Tri-State working Dog Club for hosting an amazing event. It is so refreshing to witness the family you all created. It was a pleasure to be there with you all. Thank you for being so welcoming, knowledgeable and supportive.
