Happy ! Bernie would like to remind you that the air quality in Connecticut is quite bad right now due to the wildfires in Canada. Cats are especially susceptible to the particulates in the air, and they have very sensitive respiratory systems.
You can do the following things to keep your cats safe:
1. Keep your cats inside, and close doors, windows, and access to outside spaces.
2. Run air purifiers, particularly HEPA filters, if you can.
3. Keep an eye out for signs of respiratory distress, such as open-mouth breathing, elevated respiration rates when resting, or lethargy.
