Please help Saddlebred Rescue any amount will help! For those of you who come to Wildwood I'm sure you see one that looks like SBR HOT ROD!!! Tell us which one it is in comments, after you donate lol!
UPDATE- enough money has been raised to save all 7 horses!!! We cannot thank everyone who donated, commented and shared enough! β€οΈ. We hope that anyone who still wants to help, will donate for the ongoing care of these 7 once on the farm. Shoes, vet, dental, grain, hay etc.. the list goes on and on!!! Nealia will head out tomorrow afternoon and bring the first four home. The other three are being held at a quarantine facility until we get open stalls. And we will need to pay for that as well. So every single donation matters. For now, just know, because of you, they are all safe. β€οΈ
FLASH - Immediate Rescue Trip
We were recently informed by our regular broker at New Holland that they have 7 (thats Seven) Chestnut Saddlebred geldings that need help and a place to go other than slaughter.
This is a big lot for us and we need your help to get this done.
Here are the details and we will post pictures a bit later as we get them. The total cost to buy these horses from auction is $10,581. That seems like a lot but thats about average on a per horse basis that we have been paying to get these horses for the last couple years.
The good news is we already have $1,700 in the bank ready to use for this. You may remember a few days ago we tried to raise $3000 to save one horse in Michigan from a broker that did not know us and while we were working on it the horse was purchased by someone else and then was safe. That was the objective for the horse so that was fine. So now applying the $1700 we need to raise just $8,881 to save 7 vs before we were trying to raise $3000 for 1. Both situations were justified but we have more leverage in this situation today to save more horses.
To help us get this done you can go to the Donation Station on our website (or click on the link below or click on the horse in the grass below) which was recently upgraded for more payment to include options like PayPal, Venmo and an ACH alternative to pay from your bank account. This donation hub is part of our account with Network for Good, a Bonterra company and is secure.
You can still just go directly to our Venmo (-Rescue) or PayPal using the email [email protected]
