Newberry Farm East Haddam, Ct Newberry Farm is a small family farm that raises all natural veggies, meat chickens, and eggs. Owned and operated by Bill and Carleen Quinn.

We at Newberry Farm strive to raise healthy, happy hens and meatbirds. All our birds are provided fresh, clean water and food daily in large coops with covered outdoor runs. For the safety of our animals, we only allow them to free range while we are outside to supervise. We have chicks for meat and eggs, and baby turkeys available for sale in the Spring. If you would like us to raise you a turkey

The fridge in the farm stand died again. We have since purchased a new fridge and you can find all cold items in the black fridge. We apologize for the lack of milk and yogurt this summer however that should change now that we have a dependable fridge. Thank you for your understanding.

The wait is finally over!!!

Typically when I buy chicks, I pick out what breeds I want. I choose these breeds on outward appearance, number of eggs laid a year, and their personalities. I like my flocks to be mixed with their looks and the egg color. I swap between the breeds to keep up the variety. However, since we didn’t get chicks last year I was torn as to what breeds to get and to keep cost down I decided to buy an assortment the hatchery had available. It was essentially the left over chicks for that day. We specified we wanted pullets (females) and we wanted rare and unique breeds.

So, what did we get??? The wait is over! We got buff Orpingtons, Americanas, light brahmas, and silver laced wyndottes. 🥰🥰 4 of my favorites and I haven’t had brahmas in such a long time I’m so excited to add them to the flock.

Of course, we have extras to share the excitement of raising chicks so if you’d like some let me know.
