John Fitzgerald has always been a pillar in the Irish Wolfhound community, and now he needs our support. After his recent heart surgery, the care of his beloved wolfhounds, Brady and Kurd, has become a priority. Looking forward to the runthrus tonight at our Agility venue, Wide World of Indoor Sports. Here are the maps which were designed by Michele Levitt of Agility Rush. Michele thanks so much for taking the time to design the beautiful courses. It means a lot to us. We will be setting up starting at noon if anyone is available. Runthrus will follow the set up after 3. Thank you so much.

Long time member John Fitzgerald underwent open heart surgery yesterday. He called me this morning and told me that the surgery was a success and he is still with us. He is in quite a bit of pain and in an intensive care unit. He expects to be in the hospital for about 10 days and then should spend some time in a nursing facility. We will visit him when he is ready for a visit.

*****Providence County Kennel Club — Thank You & Happy Holidays

It took some time for me to recover from all the sugar I consumed this past weekend, but it was totally worth it! All I can say is cookies, cookies and more cookies! Thank you to all who baked your little hearts out for the bake-off! Oh, did I mention the hot cocoa & marshmallows? Yes we had the eggnog!!

On behalf of The Providence County Kennel Club, I would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who joined us for PCKC’s First Inaugural Agility Trial at The Field House in Northford, CT. I am hearing that there were many people asking will we have this event again next year. The answer is a resounding yes. We will work with the facility and AKC to make this happen!

Your enthusiasm, sportsmanship, and unwavering support made this event truly special. I personally enjoyed watching everyone enjoy their weekend! This makes it all worthwhile ~ pure joy!

A special thank you to Debby DuBay for joining us! What a great cause—Junior Scholarship Grant Program so no Junior is left behind. The support of our juniors was overwhelming. What a way to go into the holiday season for these future exhibitors. I always say this and will say it again juniors are the future of our dog sports! 😊 I had the pleasure of meeting two juniors this weekend, Veronica and Grace! It was an honor to meet these two extraordinary young ladies. I want to personally wish them the best in the sport of agility! I look forward to seeing them compete.

Whether you competed, volunteered, cheered from the sidelines, or helped behind the scenes, you played an important role in creating a fun, welcoming, and successful weekend for our canine athletes and their handlers. We are grateful for this incredible community that continues to lift our Club and our events year after year.

As we wrap up the season, we wish you and your families and your four legged babies— a joyful, peaceful, and healthy holiday. Thank you for being part of The Providence County Kennel Club Family. We genuinely appreciate your continued support over the years.

We look forward to seeing you in the New Year for more agility, camaraderie, and celebration of the dogs we love.

Get ready for PCKC’s first agility trial at The Fieldhouse Agility Center on December 20 and 21st. Not only are we going to have Courtney’s famous homemade chicken soup with warm bread. We will also be raffling off TWO of the luxury Ororo heated vests. We are happy to be able to offer these coveted items in our auction to keep our agility family warm. Nothing but the best!!!

On behalf of The Providence County Kennel, we would like to thank all (old and new friends) who attended our 2025 all-breed, obedience, and rally shows this weekend. The smiles on people's faces, the puppies, and absolutely stunning dogs who competed this weekend are the priceless memories that make all the preparation that goes into shows worth it.

I personally want to thank the members who were there this weekend to make this show happen. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. We will celebrate 🥳 soon.
