Meet Cara. How can you say no to those eyes?! Cara is the sweetest 7 year old you’ll ever meet! She is a Wheaten Terrier that came to us as a retired breeder dog. She is happiest when she is with people and will happily follow wherever you go. She is amazing with kids and has done well with the dogs in her foster home but she will need a meet and greet with any other dog. She would also do very well as an only dog. Chickens are a no-go unless they are safely secured. While still working on consistency in house breaking she is eager to please and loves when you set a treat on the ground for her. She walks on the leash without issue and has shown no food aggressions. All she truly wants out of life is a home with endless snuggles and scratches and she promises to return the love ten-fold.
Cara is now spayed, had a dental cleaning, up to date with vaccines and microchipped. She tested negative for heartworm and has been started on monthly heartworm prevention. If you are interested in adopting Cara, please visit our website www.lharinc.org go to Adopt and complete the dog adoption application. Meet Beth. Beth is ready to steal your heart! Beth is an 8 yo old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel weighing 20 lbs who is all done her commercial breeder lifestyle. Don't let her lack of fur be an issue as she was shaved due to matting but is sure to have an absolutely beautiful coat once it grows back. Beth is great with other dogs, cats, and people. She is crate trained and doing well with house training. Beth will need a quieter household with no young kids and not a lot of guests coming in and out. Beth is a shy girl and therefore will also need another dog in the household and a secure fenced in yard so that she can fully come out of her shell. Anyone that gives her just a little patience to open up will see how wonderful a girl she is!
Beth does have a grade 2 heart murmur which is very common in cavaliers. She has probably had this her whole life and should be monitored with your vveterinarian. Beth is now spayed, had a dental cleaning and is up to date with vaccines. She has tested negative for heartworm and has been started on monthly heartworm prevention. If you are interested in adopting Beth, please visit our website www.lharinc.org go to Adopt and complete the dog adoption application. Liam is still with us looking for his forever home. He did have seizures and had to spend another night. We don't know why or if this was related to what happened with his eye. He is doing really well now on seizure medication which he will need to stay on. He is currently 21 lbs and back to being a normal energetic puppy. His meds will cost about $20-30 a month and he may need someone adjustment in the dosing as he grows. Liam loves to play but will do best with dogs more his size and we recommend no children under 10 years old because he is still working on jumping up. He is and Eskimo Spitz mix puppy. If you are interested in adopting Liam, please visit our website www.lharinc.org go to Adopt and complete the dog adoption application today! Meet Mazel Grace. Mazel came to us as a local owner surrender. She appears to be a pit mix and weighs about 50 lbs at a year and half old. Mazel loves people and to go for walks. She likes to play with the large male dog in her foster home. She will do best in a home as an only dog or with a male dog that is at least her size and not dominant. Mazel is crate trained and doing well with housebreaking. She would love a home that has time to play with her especially if they don't have a fenced in yard or even take her for a good walk every day. She is now spayed, up to date with vaccines and microchipped. She tested negative for heartworm and has been started on monthly heartworm prevention. Mazel will need a home without cats. If you are interested in adopting Mazel, please visit our website www.lharinc.org go to Adopt and complete the dog adoption application. Meet Tessa. This gorgeous girl is a 4 year old, Old English Bulldog who is currently weighing about 60 lbs. Tessa came to us as a local owner surrender due to no fault of her own. Tessa loves her belly rubbed and has been particularly gentle and caring around children. Tessa is spayed, up to date with vaccines and microchipped. She tested negative for heartworm and has been started on monthly heartworm prevention.
