These little monsters are everywhere already. Be careful and be sure the check your loved ones over. My favorite tool that I have used for years to remove them from my babies is the tick tornado.

I just realized I was signed out of my messenger for this page and saw these pictures Ichabod’s family sent me a few weeks back! Yes he is a purebred poodle and I absolutely LOVE all the different “non poodle” styles they get him groomed in 🩷🩷

I see these all over and never knew they were toxic to dogs, just want to share with all my families out there!

Heads up! You may see these green, brown, or black pod-like balls on the ground in your neighborhood at this time of the year. They are nuts from black walnut trees. The picture shows black walnuts in various sizes and stages of maturity and decay. Every part of a black walnut tree (nuts, shells, leaves, and wood) is highly toxic to dogs. The initial symptoms of black walnut poisoning include vomiting, diarrhea, lethargy, and loss of appetite, followed by tremors, seizures, and jaundice. The toxins in black walnut trees can be fatal to dogs if not treated promptly. Do not attempt to use any home remedies if your dog has ingested black walnut. Time is of the essence--get your dog to a vet immediately. (More info in the comments.)

Happy Thanksgiving from our family to yours. Although I am still very much missing my Bella this Thanksgiving (and every day), I am incredibly thankful to have a piece of her still. Little miss Benelli. I am also super thankful for my friends/family Jenn, Jon and kids who helped me out in a tremendous way this year and gave Spicer a temporary home while I worked on trying to get my new life settled. They are such amazing people and such foster failures that Spicers temporary home turned into his new forever home! ❤️❤️ They are such an amazing family and I will forever be thankful for how they helped me out!

I just wanted to pass along this information to my puppy families and followers. I am sometimes asked about constant ear infections in dogs. Many times it is diet related. I always tell my families upfront to be cautious of chicken based dog foods due to our own dogs having issues with it (poor coats, frequent ear infections, feet smelling like Fritos etc..) Although Beef based foods are better, they can still contribute to allergies or sensitivities causing frequent ear infections. If allergies are ruled out, this would be a great thing to try. This same solution is sold under various names and by vets for a much higher price than you can make yourself.
