For those of you who are new to the page, meet most of the Yadkin Valley Dachshunds!
I currently specialize in short hair and silky wirehaired Miniature Dachshunds. I am looking at adding longhaired to my program within the next year.

Louie is looking for his special home. He is a 6 year old, wirehaired Miniature Dachshund, however he is on the larger side for a "miniature". His very long! He has been neutered.
Louie hadn't had the best start at life when I got him at 6 months old. I believe he was mistreated by a man, therefore, he will do best with a woman as the primary caretaker. If there is a man in the home, he needs to be the calm, patient type. Louie will also do best in a home without children, as he does have anxiety and doesn't do well around loud, fast movements. He is one of those "leave me alone" dogs and if he wants attention, he will come to you. His crate is his "safe space" and sometimes thats just where he prefers to be.
