What a week at Brave Horse III! The weather may have given us a rough start, but it turned into an incredible finish full of milestones, great rides, and so many special moments. ✨
Bradshaw kicked things off in style, finishing the week as Champion in the Young Hunter 3’, highlighted by an impressive 87 in the stake class!
Tina Turner had some brilliant trips and stepped into her very first Classic, earning 6th place in the Baby Green Hunter Classic!
Then onto the weekend fun…
Balou Belle TCE and Addie Burch made their jumper debut and absolutely rocked it with 1st, 3rd, and 5th place finishes! Bella and Rachel Fashano also had a fantastic weekend in the Pre-Adult 2’3 division, earning several 5th place ribbons in a huge group.
For the Fans and Kelly McElroy laid down beautiful rounds all week, bringing home multiple 2nd and 3rd place finishes in the 3’3 Amateur division. Cobi also earned 11th in the Derby!
And of course, the most important class of the week… Leadline! 🦄
Cobi and Ryleigh earned a PERFECT 100!
Beowulf also had some fantastic learning and schooling experiences this week — his very first outdoor horse show and even some time dabbling in the jumper ring!
This week was about so much more than ribbons. Rachel’s first horse show in 25+ years, Addie’s first time competing in the jumpers, having Cobi and Kelly back together as a team, and watching these young horses really start to flourish and grow. Young horses truly test your patience, but it’s incredibly rewarding when they begin to figure it out — especially in the show ring!
And of course, Ryleigh proved once again that she’s the best groom/assistant around… especially since she happily works for pony rides and snacks. 🍭🐴
A huge thank you to all of the Brave Horse staff for going above and beyond for everyone all week long. We had the best time and can’t wait to come back for Week 4! 🩵🖤🩵
