Another Rafa for your viewing pleasure. Since I just wrapped up watching House of the Dragon I can't look at Rafa and not think to myself "If Targaryens were horses."

This beautiful, white-haired Lusitano was imported from Portugal 🇵🇹 by Dressage Solutions Llc. owner/trainer Megan Dischler. I had just said out loud last week that the farm was so incredibly beautiful right now that I wished I had aerial photos ...and then my neighbor Adam the Arborist sent these beautiful photos to me today ❤️💙 He captured the perfect moments with Jed and I 150 feet above the farm from the nature preserve across the street! I'm so lucky to make this incredible haven my home❤️ Gratitude for as far as you can see 🙏🙏🙏

Dressage Solutions Llc. is growing and we have started our search for another team member! This is a position that could include riding and exercising horses, in addition to the other daily requirements of running a farm (grooming, bathing, providing health and medical care, stalls, turn out, etc.)

Our ideal candidate will have a passion for the well being of our horses and top notch care as a first priority, will be a team player, a self motivating hard worker, and support our whole family of horses, clients, and staff here at Dressage Solutions. A riding candidate will be a compassionate rider that is coachable and willing to learn.

This position could grow into an assistant trainer position/barn manager position, or evolve in many ways for the right dedicated person. We are dedicated to investing in someone that really wants to learn! Compensation is based on experience, could be salary or hourly, or could include housing/board in a working student type of format with stipend.

Congratulations to Christina Podoll Ballweg and Emily Breslin on your beautiful new Trilogy dressage saddles!

Fitting both of these horses is a wonderful reminder of the range of unique horse sizes and and shapes we can accommodate perfectly with Trilogy Saddles.

Indy - is a young friesian that is quite wide (2x wide tree!) yet has a high wither and the rest of his saddle position is fairly flat. To give Indy the perfect fit, his saddle was designed with a 3.5" custom gusset, this allows us to keep the back of the saddle up and level so Christina can sit in balance perfectly over her leg. Christina chose our very popular Verago model with narrow twist to allow a comfortable drape to her leg on a very wide horse! Christina chose our HB Roll knee block to support her long upper leg and femur.

Rafa - in contrast is a 17 yr old Lusitano schoolmaster that has competed through PSG. He is also quite wide (XW tree) and in contrast to Indy Rafa is quite high through the back of his saddle position. Additionally, when Rafa really engages behind and lifts his back he tends to lift the back of the saddle even more. Rafa's saddle was designed with a custom 2.5" gusset to allow the back of the saddle to sit down and perfectly follow his contour. Emily also chose a custom short flap and our narrow twist model the Verago to allow a comfortable drape to her leg, she is a petite rider on a wide horse. Emily also chose the HB roll block option because Rafa is a compact horse and often has to get her inside leg quite far forward for lateral work, etc.
