Adorable Pets Friends....

This Saturday the 17th is our walk-in toenail clinic and I have to cancel it. I'm currently out of state for an important family issue. I will move it to the 4th Saturday this month if timing permits. Either way, we GREATLY apologize for any inconvenience this causes. Please keep your eye on our page for further updates. Hello Adorable Pets Friends!! 🐾🐾

Just a couple of end of the year announcements...

First, thanks to the addition of a new staff member, we DO have a few appointments left before Christmas. But they are going fast!! Call quickly...

Second, if you already have an existing appointment, PLEASE try to keep your appointment or call us as soon as you know you cannot make it. A friendly reminder, it's my staff's income for the holidays. It's important to me that each of them are able to enjoy this time of year. Not stress because appointments aren't being kept. I greatly thank you for your understanding there!!

Third, we are now excepting 2026 calendar drop off's so you are welcome to drop them off, anytime we are open. The appointments will be given on a first come first serve basis, as always.

Fourth, please know we are ALWAYS accepting new clientele. It just depends on breed of your dog as to when we can get you on the schedule.

Fifth, please remember this is an incredibly busy time of year so please be patient with my staff. We want to make sure that each client is taken care of exceptionally and each is satisfied with their services. We do run later sometimes but We ALWAYS make sure the dogs are pottied and watered no matter how long they're at the shop. The care of our pets is our number one concern!!

Adorable Pets Friends.... the muddy season is upon us!

🌈 We want all of our clients to be aware that this time each year, we sometimes run a little later with our day due to giving dogs multiple baths. We strive VERY hard to make sure each and every dog goes home nice and clean! So, please be patient with us as some require a bit more elbow grease than others. Just like your home, we only have a limited amount of hot water and we do not want your pet getting a cold bath.

Please know.. If your pet is with us we DO NOT just leave dogs to 'sit in a kennel' all day. We have a privacy fenced back yard and your pet goes out multiple times. We also make sure all of our visitors have water throughout the day. Our staff takes care of your dogs as if they were our own.

*** We are also flexible with drop off times. If you would like to drop your pet off a little later than normal to limit time at the shop, please just ask. We will be as accommodating as possible

🌈 The More We Know 🌈

Let you and I talk about the volcano in the room...

With Mt. Spurr being as volatile as it is, we want to help you prepare in case of an eruption. If volcanic ash reaches our area, here’s how to keep your dog safe:

🔥 Before an Eruption:
✅ Make an emergency plan that includes your pet.
✅ Pack a pet emergency kit (food, water, meds, leash, carrier).
✅ Stay updated on alerts and warnings.
✅ Prepare goggles, booties, or a mask to protect against ash.

🌋 During an Eruption:
🚪 Keep your dog indoors as much as possible.
🐾 Limit outdoor time—ash can cause breathing issues and burn paws.
🚰 Provide clean, bottled water—ash can contaminate water sources.
🚗 If you evacuate, take your pet with you!

☁️ After an Eruption:
🧼 Wipe ash from your dog’s fur, face, and paws with a damp cloth.
😷 Watch for coughing, breathing issues, or eye irritation—call a vet if needed.
🔥 Avoid falling ash deposits from the roof, sheds, porches etc.
🏡 Check your yard for hazards before letting your dog roam.
💙 Help them return to their routine to reduce stress.

Ashfall can happen quickly and with little warning, so prepare now! Stay safe and take care of your furry friends. 🐾

⚠️ Adorable Pets Grooming friends, with small dogs/pets..
We've had 2 clients, very recent, who've had their small dogs viciously attacked by Owls. PLEASE keep a lookout on your small friends. While we've had several in the past attacked by Eagles and Ravens, the owls are now apparently getting in on the game.....

⚠️ To our clients ⚠️ We've been attempting to finish our remodel over the Christmas break and have run into a few snags. It's become necessary for us to remain closed so it can be finished. We do plan to be open come Monday morning and GREATLY apologize for any inconvenience this extended closure has caused!! If you've called or come by, the shop has been locked and blocked up. If you've emailed or FB messaged, I am out of the state visiting family I wasn't sure I was going to get to see so i apologize for the lack of or delay in response. Hopefully when you come visit next, things will look much different 🤞🏼 Thank you for your understanding, A.P.G 🐾

💚We have an outstanding opportunity for all pet owners in the Anchorage Municipality. This Saturday the 7th, we will be hosting a vaccination clinic here at the animal shelter from 11am-3pm.

💙Some rules to keep in mind for everyone’s safety; all dogs are required to be on leash and under control. Cats need to be in carriers until it is their turn to be vaccinated and/or microchipped. If you need assistance with multiple animals just let our customer service know, we are willing to accommodate. We will vaccinate your animal as long as you are in line prior to 3pm, the line will be cut off at 3pm.

💚We are excited to see all of the amazing pets in our community, and just want to do our part in making sure every furry companion is safe, happy and healthy.
