The Accidental Kennel at Lugdon Lodge

The Accidental Kennel at Lugdon Lodge 20+ yrs ago, a yard full of huskies was not part of our plans. However, now that we have The Accide However, now a days, we couldn't imagine life without them!

20+ yrs ago becoming Mushers and a having a yard full of huskies was not part of our plans. We got our first full blooded Siberian Husky, Quito, "accidentally" when our youngest daughter, now 34, was in 8th grade. She fell in love with huskies after a local musher brought a team of sled dogs to her school. Her older brother, now 38, undenounced to us, made a deal with said musher for a future pupp

y. The puppy arrived, we all fell in love, another sled dog, Timer, was retired with us, we fell in love again, and the rest is history!!! We now love 23 Alaskan and Siberian huskies, a number that changes regularly. We have also grown to LOVE recreational dog sledding, providing dog sledding trips as yet another outdoor recreation service through our lodge!!!
