During calving season and staggering the dry off process, I haven’t been able to make much cheese, so last night I decided to bring out some new additions to the members milkshed. A spring Romano, Guido, and a Farmstead Yellow Cheddar. I love unpacking new cheese. Three months of waiting to see if all the hard work pays off.

Twisted Oak Member’s milkshed has a new vendor. Granny Smith’s Garden is stocking the shed with slightly spicy pickles, “adult” bourbon cherries, and peppers. We also have fresh picked Bartlett pears 8 for $5. This is in addition to the bounty of fresh produce provided by Roots Farm and Uncle Waynes Tomatoes along with the fresh baked sourdough bread. I even heard Jersey was burning the midnight oil to stock the milkshed with gooey chocolate chip cookies for this weekend.

Question… what do you get when you pick 50lbs of Battagalia Green Figs and purchase 45lbs of sweet peaches?

Answer… a beautifully stocked member’s milkshed! ❤️

Fresh sliced peaches in a honey, peach juice syrup(no refined sugars added or needed), Fig butter, aged bourbon vanilla extract made with Madagascar vanilla using burnside bourbon and blackberry rosemary pickled red onions.

In addition, Roots Farm had stocked their beautifully crafted shelves. Not only do they harvest the most unique produce, they also milled all of the raw wood shelves featured in the milkshed. This weeks stock - Apple butter, dragon beans, and hearty zucchini! Adding to bounty, Uncle Waynes Tomatoes has their heirlooms, cherry varieties, and cucumbers and Jersey’s sourdough, cookies, and candles is making the shed smell devine! Artisan soap, children’s books, and so much more…

I am a little late on posting on Facebook, but each week new products are coming out. We are at the start of our calving season which means dairy products like cream, butter, and sometimes yogurt may be limited, but please know that this is temporary. We currently have a milkshare waitlist, but will continue to accept herdshare members, so if you are interested in joining or adding your name to the list for weekly milk pick up please go to https://twistedoakfarm.store/ and follow the steps.

Canned good products are making an appearances. In addition to some fresh Feta brined in a sea salt and thyme has been added to the first come first serve fridge. Brie is also still available and this week’s greek yogurt flavor is freshly picked Blackberry, Mulberry, Pear honey.

All products are sourced in season, from a local farm, hand picked or produced with the mindset of knowing where your food comes from! ❤️
