✨ Quick Schedule Update ✨

I’m going through my books for the rest of the year and… I am very full 🥹

I’m so grateful for all of you, but I’m starting to have a hard time fitting in my regular clients the way I want to.

I’m considering bringing on a part-time groomer to work alongside me — someone I would trust, so your pups are still safe, loved, and cared for just the same.

💬 I’d love your honest feedback:
Would you prefer to wait for appointments with just me, or be open to seeing a groomer working under me?

I’m not the only one in the area feeling this — schedules everywhere are filling up fast.

I currently don’t have availability until end of July, into August! And even that, is very limited.

Huge thank you to Pine Point Animal Hospital in Damascus for taking such amazing care of Gentry today 💛

He had his retained baby canines removed, and they made the whole experience so smooth. They sent me these sweet photos after his visit, and I just can’t get over him 🥹

So grateful to have a vet team I fully trust, especially while building my breeding program. You guys are the best 🤍

✨ Health Testing Update ✨

We’re excited to share that both Gentry and Everleigh have officially passed their OFA Eye Exams — Normal 👁️

For those who may not be familiar, OFA (Orthopedic Foundation for Animals) is a national registry that tracks health testing in dogs. These exams are performed by specialists and submitted publicly, creating transparency and accountability in breeding programs.

Why does this matter?
Because responsible breeding is about more than appearance — it’s about protecting the long-term health of the breed and giving every puppy & family the best possible start in life.

This is especially important to me on a personal level. My very first dachshund came from a puppy mill, and over her lifetime I went through countless health struggles with her—emotionally and financially. I spent thousands trying to manage issues that could have been prevented with responsible breeding practices.

That experience is exactly why I’m so committed to doing this the right way. I never want a family to go through what I went through.

At Adamson Acres, health testing is a non-negotiable. This is one step as we continue working toward full OFA/CHIC certification before any future breeding takes place.

I almost have my membership services all created. Clients can reach out after looking over the membership packages, so I can see if theirs enough interest to fill the limited spots available 🙂 I’ll have 20 spots available for the grooming maintenance memberships, and 10 spots available for the daycare memberships (that have grooming perks!)

Or I might look into INDIVIDUAL memberships based on services used 🥰

I’m considering introducing a small, limited membership program for a select number of clients who want their dogs on a consistent care plan instead of booking appointment to appointment.

This would be designed for my regular clients who want:
✨ Priority scheduling
✨ Predictable monthly costs
✨ Daycare options
✨ Grooming maintenance perks
✨ Extra member benefits

Because I am focusing on quality over quantity and continuing my one-on-one grooming approach, I would only be opening a small number of membership spots instead of taking on additional new haircut clients.

My goal is to reward my loyal clients while keeping schedules consistent and manageable.

Hi friends! 💛🐾

I wanted to take a moment to share some upcoming changes here at Adamson Acres Pet Spa, along with a heartfelt thank you.

As many of you know, I’ve been incredibly busy — and I am beyond grateful for the continued love and support from all of you. Because of that growth, I’ve decided it’s time to take a step back and refocus for the pets and for myself. Beginning mid-March, once I work through my already-scheduled appointments, I will be transitioning back to one-on-one grooming.

This change allows me to provide calmer, more individualized care for each pet while maintaining the quality and attention they deserve.

Grooming Policy & Pricing Updates

Effective immediately, the following updates will apply:

• Pricing will increase, with separate pricing for:– Dogs on a 4–6 week recurring grooming schedule– Dogs who come in for occasional or infrequent grooming

• Card payments will include a 3% service fee

• Dogs not picked up within 40 minutes of pickup notification will incur a $30 daycare fee (unless prearranged prior to appointment)

• Double-coated breeds will automatically receive a deshedding treatment

• Any prep work before the bath (blow-outs, dematting, pre-shaving, etc.) will be charged at $1 per minute

• Nail trims will now be appointment-only

I do my absolute best to keep up with my work phone, but as always, texting and online booking remain the best ways to reach me for scheduling.

Daycare & Boarding Clients

Nothing changes for you — your current policies remain in place.Just a quick reminder:• I am closed for drop-offs and pick-ups on Sundays• A $30 daycare fee applies to pick-ups after noon on pickup day• Payment is due upon drop-off

My kennel helper will continue to be here daily to ensure all pups are fed, exercised, played with, and well cared for.

As I approach my FOURTH year in business, I want to say thank you from the bottom of my heart to every single person who has supported this journey. Because appointments fill so quickly, I strongly encourage booking on a recurring schedule for the year to guarantee your spot.

We’re also:• Adding monthly daycare packages (text to inquire!)• Expanding our daycare play groups on Mondays and Wednesdays — with other weekday options available

• Welcoming an AKC-registered miniature long-hair dachshund breeding program into the Adamson Acres family later this year (more details coming soon!)

From my family and my children — thank you. Truly. I love every single pet that walks through these doors. They are part of our family, and I believe that bond is what sets Adamson Acres apart. The excitement these pets show when they come in, and the joy they bring to our kids, means everything to us. 🐾❤️
